  2. You can install an InOne kit for a National 145. You can get it from D&S Vending. It's not ideal because there are ver few places to mount a card reader on that machine but it is possible if you are dead set on upgrading it. The board + reader will be worth far more than the machine though.

  4. Hello, I just acquired a snackshop cs-12 everything seems to be in working order other than when I put coins in they go right through the coin mechanism and into the coin return! On the front screen it has the light lit up for “coffee machine is out of service” I didn’t think anything of it thinking maybe there is a coffee machine attachment that you can plug into it and run as well and just went straight to the coin mech. There is nothing jammed in it. I completely torn it down cleaned it and reassembled it! And it does the same thing. But now that I am this far it has dawned on me that the is the only out of service light on the machine and that is very well why it’s just straight bypassing the coin mechanism! I have a parts manual but I cannot find anything on how to reset the machine to clear that code? Could someone please tell me how that is done? I believe it is one of 2 things my coin mech is old and needs to be replaced and is causing that error or the out of service light is causing it to bypass? Please any help is appreciated! Thanks
  5. Damn. Thanks for the reply. I picked both machines up in a location for cheap. Maybe I'll sell them and replace with newer!
  6. Be prepared for vandalism to your machine. All apartment complexes come with that option enabled.
  7. You also want a side opening bill box which is the 500 bill box.
  8. In Clifton, TX, I don't think that is going to be a long walk . Waco on the other hand might require a sack lunch and some good shoes.
  9. when purchased new, the mask installed was part of the model #. Mar's Model # is broken down below. This is also in their manual. "VN25 "series (Vending DBV that accepts 3 notes ($1, $2 and $5) with a "0" indicates VFM or Snack mask or "1" for Bottler mask "1" indicated 115 VAC where "2" indicated 24 VAC operation The snack looks like the mask on your current VFM with the "lips" in the middle of the bezel where a bottler mask's lips are lower on the bezel. The snack mask also pushes the dbv up and back to clear your display and other hardware in the machine. Bottlers masks either wont fit at all or will cause interference with other hardware around it.
  10. +1 for a credit card reader, especially considering they allow you to live track sales & inventory.
  11. they have a 4g card n Canada that s the monthly fee you are paying
  12. Does anyone know if card readers need to be put onto a 3G/4G network? Can they just run off local wifi?
  13. Well, after further research and spending time really looking at my AP6600 model, I discovered that I have a Mars bill acceptor… (Model VFM3 L1 U4C) this unit actually takes $1’s & $5’s the problem is that it doesn’t take the new $5 bill post 2008 when they changed it. So, I’m still in need of an upgrade that will take $1’s-$5’s&$10’s After more research I think I found one that will work. It is a : Mars/MEI 120V pulse interface that is a recommended replacement for the VFM1-L1 /or/ VFM3-L1 bill validator. with advice from Alan and others I do see another model available: it’s the Mars/MEI VN2501U5 120V this validator will take $1’s & $5’s with the recognition of the 2008 post $5 bill. How do i know what # mask my validator has?
  14. Hey Az We don’t have a sample of every reader manufactured to test for fit/function. I’m asking for specifics for Chris’ complaint (along with any others) so we can confirm an issue and get traction towards a resolution. It also allows us to confirm that solutions already in place developed by reader mfgs are being employed before a complaint is shared. When I tell engineering it doesn’t fit, they’re going to order a sample of the unit along with any/all suggested hardware specific to V21 equipment (if any exists). If they install everything as recommended and no issue is found then I’ve wasted their time and capital. Enough of this “crying wolf” leads to deaf ears when something is needed. We had a distributor complain a couple of weeks ago that he can no longer use the Snack mask he’s been using on CPI DBVs on V21. His complaint is that now he has to purchase DBVs with bottler masks or keep masks in stock to swap out which costs him labor. To me, this is not a Vendo issue but a “use the right parts for the job” issue.
  15. I would make it CC reader only but coin and CC reader is good as well. Most importantly youre getting ripped off if you are paying 700$ for that reader. Also, in Canada the Canteloupe readers perform better and the customer service is way way better. A new unit on a new account is 400$ give or take. fees are 9-10$ a month. Don't buy a used reader. Invest in a new one. Do not put a bill acceptor in an apartment complex... your begging for a break in. Also but not least, buy a quality hasp and lock for said hasp.
  16. Since it is now coin only I would suggest adding a CC reader. That way you willalso be able to add some higher priced items such as Monster or C4. Plus you will be able to track your sales by item.
  17. I have a Dixie Narco 501E Going into an apartment building in the next couple of weeks. The apartment houses roughly 104 tenants. All young adults. My Dixie Narco in its current state only accepts change... AKA very rudimentary but the machine is in good condition. Given there are 104 tenants in the locations its going in, would you, in your professional opinion, attach a bill acceptor? a CC reader? Leave it the way it is? Obviously Id like to attach everything, but I cant justify the price of a Nayax reader If I'm unsure of how many vends it'll make on average. A Nayax reader here in Canada will cost me nearly 700 upfront plus 10 bucks a month plus the vend fee, although I did find one used on marketplace for 150.. doubt that a good idea to buy though. Anyone in a similar position?
  18. Walking the pavement, knocking on doors after you have some experience with full line so you know what you're talking about.
  19. That's negatory, ghost rider. Not gonna happen. Dump that relic from the early 80s and get something newer.
  20. Mike, this should be easily duplicated in your factory when testing this specific card reader, and probably others. Why, for such an obvious request, would you need more data? That is an example of the problem with manufacturers. So is the QR code manual. Printed manuals still need to come in every cabinet of trade machines and be available for printing and downloading from your website.
  21. Curious what model the bevmax "Phoenix" refresh refers to, as I have seen this referenced on parts websites etc. Is the "Phoenix refresh" the same thing as a bevmax refresh ?
  22. Last week
  23. I will do that as soon as I get back to one of these machines. I have put 4 out so far and I have 2 left to setup.
  24. Hello all! First time poster, relative newbie to the field. Starting up a vending company. I purchased this Snacktron 2 with a drink machine on location, and I'm wondering if this is upgradeable to take card ? I've attached a photo of the visible portion of the main board. It's a 8 pin. I believe I would have to get a converter from the 8pin to MDB 6pin but I'm unsure how to figure out exactly what I'd need In that same breath, is it safe to assume any old 9pin can be converted to MDB with an adapter ?
  25. Can you share a picture of your reader setup on here or directly to me? I need the reader model # and to confirm installation technique to avoid having engineering chase a ghost. If anyone else has issues with swiping a card (due to space constraints) on V21 machines, please share model and a pic (or link) here and I'll compile and share the list with engineering.
  26. I'm looking in to getting back in. but using full size machines. drink snack. combo . What are some good ways to. locate them .
