  1. I would set it for two tier pricing. Vending profit margins are truly a game of nickels and dimes. The extra 10 cents for every swipe takes care of the transaction fee and keeps the card purchases more profitable.
  2. Thanks for the help! It does use filter paper. Just to be clear, I can buy any fresh ground coffee from a grocery store to use, correct?
  3. Yeah I can see that. This one has been converted to a fresh brew, so it doesn't have a grinder anymore. I went up to my distributor's warehouse on two different occasions and did a couple of hours of training each time. It's definitely an intricate machine. It was a bit intimidating at first but once we went through a couple times, I started to get familiar with how it works and how to program it. I'm gonna have it for a couple weeks at my warehouse before I go set it up on location, it should be showing up early this week. The only thing that is bothering me about it is setting up the different kinds of coffee drinks. Buying stuff from Vistar is confusing because there isn't any guidance on what ingredients are for coffee vending machines, and I don't know how many different kinds of drinks i can set it up with. I know it will do hot chocolate, french vanilla, white chocolate mocha, cafe latte, english toffee, and I'm sure there is a lot more but I can't find a real list or anything that explains that. The training sessions were really just about the mechanical and programming aspects but not really about setting up flavors. I know I'll get it figured out but it has been a bit stressful so far.
  4. Thanks AZVendor. Sorry about the delayed response, for some reason i wasn't receiving alerts anymore when people reply to topics. Can I get any kind of powdered creamer from the grocery store? Also what kind of chocolate, do I get that from the grocery store too? I've read through the manual and it isn't really helpful in regards to what to put in the canisters.
  5. I'm gonna be getting a National 677 coffee machine delivered some time next week. It's my first coffee machine and I'd like to order product for it from Vistar so when it gets here I can test vend it. I'm wondering if anyone can help tell me what products I need to buy for coffee vending? There is a lot of coffee items on vistar but I don't know which ones are for vending machines. I know that it will say VEND on the end of the product description if its for a coffee machine, but how many different products do i need? I need sugar, lightener, chocolate, french vanilla, fresh ground coffee, and I'm not sure what else. Does anyone have any info on what kind of product to get from Vistar? I'll take any advice I can get Thanks
