  1. Hey Tiff. I have 3, each of the above represents a shop with a single head. It's funny that you say that, all the slugs and theft attempts were at the top of the coin pile I'm OK with them doing some damage to the machine occassionally as long as they keep putting $30 a month in A broken machine per month would be pretty lame though :-P I need to get a machine with a clutch in there.
  2. Also, check out prosper.com That's where I lend.
  3. I thought you weren't looking to expand? What'd I miss? Is the standardizing on beaver part of a plan to track inventory/vends and hire an employee?
  4. Eve, That is some southwestern looking decor! Let's see, a few succulents, a gecko, and leather furniture with rivets I thought you were competition for a moment until I looked at your profile :-P
  5. Ah, bad times for the crackberry. Personally I recommend Nokia barphones. They are the only phones that can stand up to the beating I give them. I currently have a Nokia flip-phone. I cannot F******* stand clamshells. They ALWAYS break. Here is a pic of my current phone. (Yes, it works, I just mate the pins and have to open and close the phone a certain way... what do you mean I'm cheap?)
  6. I'm in Real Estate (main income), I do some IT consulting for some friends who have a medical clinic, and I'm a Hypnotist (my true love). I'm planning on moving within 2 years, so I want to build up a good route and hopefully hand it over to an employee.
  7. Hoooooooo! January's numbers are in. Head average of $9.15. The two biggest stinkers had two major changes. On one, I changed out both products. On the other, I spoke to the owner, and he took out part of his display case so that we could put my double right by the register ,'^) I didn't place anywhere near as many machines as I planned, but as my girlfriends have all found out, my interest is intense but cyclical. Been busy with Real Estate stuff. Hoping to get back to vending & locating soon. One note, the Tattoo Parlour that I did almost 30 bucks at was ROUGH on the machine. I found 6 quarters wrapped in tape with little tape handles to try and pull them back out, a scotch-tape slug, pieces of paper, and pieces of paper wrapped in scotch. They jammed the handle hard enough to break the mech, and undid the screws as far as they could on the bottom of the machine (just unscrew the base if you're trying to do that... silly guys.) Enjoy. EDIT: Also if anyone is interested, my route takes about 5 hours to service, which means I've bought myself a 30/hr job. Hopefully I can build up to two hundred or so and take a smaller cut with an employee.

  9. I hear you. I'm not saying the scenario isn't going on, I just find that in dealing with criminals, erring on the side of their stupidy is usually the safest bet. Perhaps what's going on here is that tstrong is a candy thief, and is testing the waters to see how bulk vendors think.
  10. He said there were two empty globes... Sounds like missing candy to me. A smarter criminal would buy their own machine If they were smart and trying to be undetected, why are we chatting about it here?
  11. Call me crazy, but if they had the ability to open the lock, and they stole the candy, they would have stolen the cash, too. I think the wheel is misaligned, or the adjustor plate is set funny.
  12. Camlocks are the locks thrown up most often as an alternate. Any chance you have the adjustor plates set funny? I might go to the machines and try turning them clockwise hard a few times and see if you don't get a few pieces falling out.
  13. I personally don't think there is much of a chance to place a doggy-biscuit vendor because both those stores have loose dog-biscuits for sale. However, that's just my guess. I do think there might be possibility for candy vending with all the little tykes coming in and out... with a secured machine or rack setup
  14. Did Bob Butler give a reason for that, or is that just unadulterated speculation?
