  1. Sounds good! Where can one get a changer?
  2. Quick update - I did manage to get ahold of the locator company and I have a meeting on Tuesday with one of their local guys. All is well in MN!
  3. Here is an email I just sent to my contact at KnockOut Vending - I am still struggling to get my machine(s) placed; any suggestions, I am ALL EARS!! Dale Email: Hi Mark Heard anything from anyone out there? I have NEVER heard back from (name of placement company) - I have called and emailed what seems like 100 times now - no return call, no return email, nothing. Last communication was 12/17 - someone told me they received the payment. I will give them the rest of the week and then sic my lawyers on them. I am starting to think the vending Gods are against me - first with (XXXXX) and now with these guys. What gives?! Oh well - I am not taking delivery on the machine until a location is locked and loaded. (looking back, perhaps I shouldn't have paid for it until I had some potential locations picked out!) BTW, I paid them to find locations for 2 machines.......... Dale
  4. Thank you kindly! I will check this out!! Thanks again!
  5. inflatables? I have always been curious about the 'inflatables for rent' business, and just found a manufacturer in Entrepreneur magazine that has some good reviews.... I dunno, seems like a good 'add on' to vending... Dale
  6. Thanks for the medical insurance tips! Good stuff there (no matter how much of a love/hate thing I have for medical insurance in this country, but that is a story for another day!) How about insurance (property/liability) for your vending business/Machines? Any suggestions on what to do there? THANKS! drd
  7. personally, I wouldn't mind getting a coin-op car wash going. I owned a detailing business for years and like to stay close to the industry.
  8. BluePlate turned me on to a used Boxer machine for sale right in my own backyard (at Tilt); I went and checked it out yesterday and for $900, it seems like a good buy. HOWEVER, the KnockOut Machine I have takes $1, $5, $10, and $20 bills, and this one only takes quarters!! Seems like the bar crowd would have change on hand, but I REALLY prefer when someone challenges their buddies to a punching contest and pops in a $20! Thoughts? Worth buying this machine? I can easily buy a coin counter, but what do you think?? :---------)
  9. so whats it like owning a laundrymat? I knew this guy when I was in college who had 2 of them and a real estate business and from what I remember, he was bringing home some cash! (2 laundrymats in a college town=surefire recipe to be counting quarters daily!)
  10. what does it take to get started as a Professional Locator? Do they/you typically have a background in vending (as in, do you have your own machines already and don't want to add any more)? Just curious.......... Dale
  11. Hello! What coverage do you have for your vending business? Who do you go thru and what do you like (dislike) about them/it? Also, for you full-time self employed folks out there, what do you have (if anything) for health insurance? Thanks! drd
  12. Thanks for the responses! how much did you pay for the machines? Sounds like you own a laundry mat?
  13. Has anyone seen these machines out there before? They are basically vending massage chairs that I guess one would get placed in a mall or something. Thoughts? Experience? Kinda cool if you ask me! Dale
  14. a boxer machine? What do you think is a good/fair price for these?
  15. Ok, so I have one new boxer machine, and I am HOPING to pick up a used one next week (thanks BluePlate!), but what other machines do you have good luck with - outside of candy/soda machines? I thought about the ATM's, and a bunch of other stuff, but I dunno? Any thoughts?
