Hey Mike, been a while, ain't looking too sweet in the bulk world anymore, dont think I need to explain that in depth....Few things lately from my end..... DB/Concord had an ample supply of stock and received order exactly as quoted, no issues, had a price increase back in October as you know, Sweetworks order was smooth, price increase in January and free shipping is @ 1000 lbs, dropped a few good sellers for me, that being a couple of the 1080 ct, Super Sours (BIG seller for me) biggest loss incurred so far is Runts getting out of the bulk game (makes no sense) but Ferrrara has really beat up this item in their acquisition from Nestle and now onto Ford, doesnt look like they will entertain production on the Ford line for a bit to come.......and the amount of abandoned equipment is amazing, I've bought two routes for pennies on the dollar, not to mention all that have been given or they go to scrap pile... a year ago i had around 300 or so machines placeable in storage , now i'm nearly at 1200 & really close to out of storage area........I have had a giant increase in rack sales, but charity is struggling to reach 50% pre pandemic at best....I guess its either a time to get out or to expand so i'm too far in to back out now! Look forward to your insight, especially Ford's direction.

Hey Willie, great to hear from you. I cleaned out the last of Ford's 1080 gumballs in November and I really doubt they will ever return to the bulk vending game. They have been struggling with staffing since the pandemic and it had not changed when I last spoke to them in November. According to Barb DeLeon at Ford they just don't make much money on the bulk and Big League Chew is their cash cow. That said I was talking to my local wholesaler and he said that he is now having trouble getting Big League Chew from them so who knows what's going on there. I will probably reach out to Barb in the next month to see what the future looks like or if there is one. I usually go through the above mentioned wholesaler for all of my Sweetworks products because it saves me on product storage but he had been having such a terrible time getting product from them in the last 6 months I actually talked to Sweetworks directly in November. Heather Wright told me then that they wouldn't be manufacturing any bulk until December and even that was subject to change/delay. I scrambled and was able to pick up a bunch of Lotsa Sours from Barb at Ford along with some other Sweetworks stuff they had on hand. Just Born is also on a bulk hiatus until sometime this spring so I've been trying to stretch out my Mike & Ike's inventory as well.
In regards to equipment I have been slowly selling off obsolete stuff acquired through route purchases for the last year and a half. I use a flea market booth that handles the sales and run Craigslist ads to promote it. I have sold a couple hundred machines doing this and freed up some space. At this point I am not buying anything else. I actually sold a good size chunk of my long distance business (locations over 2 hours away) to a competitor last year and then I bought another Fordway vendor's closer route that was a mess. Got it cleaned up and running well now. I'm just going to stay in a holding pattern right now. I am really concerned about cost and availability of product going forward.
My charity sales have been stable. I also placed about 80 single gumball set ups in November/December and have really been happy with their performance. I have really been focusing my locating in the Latino and Burmese/Asian communities in my city. Great people to work with, they protect my equipment, and cash is still king in their circles.
1200 machines in storage!!!! Wow!!! You should be good on parts for the long haul. As I said above I am in a holding pattern. The guy that bought my other stuff would probably buy me out if I wanted to work out a deal with him but honestly I am hesitant to pursue it. I'm still making money and still enjoy what I am doing but the uncertainty of the future is really disconcerting to me. So for now I will continue on as usual and continue to put out machines (I probably have 100 that need locations). Thanks again for reaching out and as always it was great talking to you. Take care.
