  1. hi I saw your post that you are a mini melts vending distributor. I recently purchased a number of machines and am now looking to expand them. You mentioned that you are in malls, what is a reasonable rent and who do you usually contact to get in the space. Also, any hints on how to approach new locations? Any help would be great. Thanks

  2. Just wondering if anyone knows where to get chute doors now that Vendstar is no longer selling them? Thanks
  3. I am amused by this thread. I have been in bulk vending for over 7 years and am making a lot of money off the machines that everyone says are useless junk. Every time my "useless junk" is stolen from a location I just smile and go on my way knowing that I only lost $30. I don't think too many of you guys feel that way when you lose a nice machine. I have a friend that has a route of 700 vendstars and when he collects his $7000 monthly do you think he cares what kind of machines he is using? My point is this, if you are going to be a commercial vendor fine, buy top of the line. But, if you are wanting to make money fast and want a return on investment in months and not years, then I suggest you take a look at these plastic peices of junk. You can make money and a lot of it with these disposable machines. They are in good supply and incredible deals are to be had, so get out there and start making some money!
  4. Does anyone have a product label for a fastcorp or similar ice cream machine (6" wide 3" high)that is electronic and could be emailed? thanks Shannon
  5. So where do we get parts for Vendstar now? thanks
  6. Hi, I have been in bulk vending for 7 years now as a part time income producing hobby. I love going out to service and collect those machines. I have a mixed bag of Vendstars, 1800s, and Routemasters. I got started by buying a route from a guy and paid $400 per machine, which we all know is way too much, but I had so much into it I was forced to stick it out and evenutally learned the business and now enjoy it. I have over 200 locations with triples on them and am now to the point where I am steadily removing anything less that $10 monthly and replacing with better locations. I am happy with the numbers I have and have been very fortunate to land a lot of good accounts that have lasted a long time. I also am into Ice cream vending machines which I have 7(minimelts) located and just ordered 10 more (reg ice cream)last week and am hoping to have placed soon. I am hoping to move from mostly candy into toy capsule and dabble with some rack machines of which I have a nice Northwestern High 5 setup with 6 super 60's with $.50 coin mechs on it sitting in my living room now waiting to find a place for it. Take care! S
  7. Has anyone had any luck ordering parts from Vendstar in the last 2 weeks? I keep getting a full voicemail and need to order some stickers and doors....any ideas on what is going on? thanks Shannon
  8. Just curious how many skittles and runts are being vended to get a 1/2 oz vend? thanks Shannon
  9. I'm new to the forum but not to cashless as I have been using them on my ice cream machines for 3 years now. I would say that you better have high traffic areas to justify the cost because it does take away from your bottom line. My average at hockey arenas and mall locations is10% use cards, 90% use cash. That is over the 3 year life of these devices. My products are $3 each so I can absorb it plus I need the text alerts when power goes out or a freezer door gets stuck open so I can save my product in time so for me I have to do it. I use www.inonetechnology.com and they are great. Shannon
  10. Hi, I am new to the forum but have been vending for 4 years now. I have found that gumballs are good for 4-8 months. Nuts don't do well for me, messy and stale. Plus statistically if you are new to vending, they are not ranked at the top as best sellers and you are better avoiding them. Stick with the main choices like P. MM and Mike and Skittles and you will be much happier with the results. S
