  1. I tried a sticker machine in a local tire shop....It went great the first month, but then I started getting a lot of angry calls from tire customers. It seems that my stickers were not strong enough to patch the tires, and they were having blow outs. I finally had to remove the machine.
  2. We approached the previous owner of the Save-a-lot in our town, and he said he would like to, but Save-a-lot did not allow machines in the store. He went as far as to say that they even controlled the soda machines outside. Then he sold the store to someone else, and guess what, there is a double head bulk vending machine in there now. Who knows?
  3. I noticed you are from Scranton.......You might contact the Dunder Mifflin office there and see about a machine in their break room.....
  4. That was the best "White Sale" I ever saw.
  5. And all this time I have been fretting about which machine to buy......what product to sell.......where to buy the product.....what charity to go with.....and now I find that it is all about the "outfit" Every day I learn something on this forum.
  6. Another point to consider is having to replace a machine after only a short period of time......sure the cheaper, or used machine will work fine for a while, but may only last 1 year or 2........sometimes a better made machine, or new machine may last many times that....so you have the added cost of replacing an inferior machine quicker.....just another thought.
  7. This is the same company that used to list on their website that they sold the millenia....I called and talked to them about it, and they told me that is was not the Seaga trademarked millenia.....now I notice that they have removed the millennia name from their website.
  8. Here is one recommendation from the xyzvending.com site What are the suggested serving size for each of the bulk candy selections for my vending machine? --Peanut M&M's: 8-10 pieces --Plain M&M's: 12-14 pieces --Runts: 10-12 pieces --Skittles: 12-14 pieces --Reese's Pieces: 12-14 pieces --Mike & Ike: 6-8 pieces --Chiclets: 10-12 pieces --Cashews: 10-12 pieces --Hot Tamales: 6-8 pieces --Pistachios: 10-12 pieces I actually prefer to vend 1/2 ounce of whatever I am vending. I measure out 1 ounce by weight, then divide the number of pieces by 2.
  9. I have an issue with the GMW ebay auction for the millenia style machine.......the auction heading says "Heavy Duty Metal Body - Candy Gumball Vending Machine but when you read the description this is what it says. Safe non-toxic finish Dual-processed ABS plastic body. so...is it...plastic or all metal here is the link Sample Link
  10. I usually buy the cheapest assorted mix.....then I buy some of the more expensive designs, like the pool balls, smiley faces, etc....and put a few in the cheap mix.....they seem to sell well.
  11. I only have experience with the Oak cabinet machines.....and I do not like to have to lift the entire base off the rod to empty out the coins.......are the vistas made differently......I like just lifting the casing around the bottom on the Northwestern super 60's and getting the coins out, without taking it completely off the rod.
  12. I guess now there is no way the dealership will let you put a vending machine there, huh?
  13. I use the Amerivend stands and they work with Northwestern, Seaga, and Oak machines. I have not found a machine that the holes will not line up with.
  14. I am glad to see that I am not the only one that has stuff jammed in my mechanisms. The chinese restaurant that is one of my best locations is always getting stuff jammed in it, usually toothpicks. The last time we ate there, it was not time to service the machine, and as we were leaving there was a boy, about 9yo on top of a chair trying to pry the top off the machine. I figured he is the one that stuffs stuff down in it.......so I went out to my car and got a quarter and went back in....he was pretty startled when I opened the door and caught him again......I asked him if he would like a quarter to get a bouncy ball and he said, yes thanks....I gave it to him, and he smiled....then I said.....I own that machine and you should not mess with it.....he said ok....dont know if it did any good or not.
  15. I am using the 850 count gumballs.....I believe they are 1 inch size.
