  1. Good Afternoon, I purchased a crane 780 with the hopes of using it for cold drinks as well as a couple selections of cold food. It seems that this machine has been set to only cool to about 60 degrees. I;m assuming the last user probably was using it as and ambient machine in a hot location like a factory or something. I'm trying to figure out how to lower the temperature on the cold control to a cold food temperature like 36-38 or so. I've never had this type of machine. When I look at the manual it shows a "turn nob" type control for this but it says "optional" this machine does not have a turn nob cold control. I'm assuming its in the "product configuration" menu ? it says its set for non-perishable food. I'm stuck there. How do I change this? Thanks, Justin
  2. Good Afternoon, Does anyone know if the Cantaloupe Engage (touch screen with chip reader) devices are compatible with Inone boards. It seems like they would be but for some reason the Inone boards aren't listed on the cantaloupe compatibility sheet. Has anyone used them together? Thanks, Justin
  3. Was it working before ? Did you just install the card reader then it stopped working? As far as communication goes, is the DEX cable connected?
  4. There's really no point in having a business if you can't make a reasonable profit. When customers or potential bring up the issue of our prices being to high I remind them that it costs us money every time we service a location and because it costs us money to service we need to make a reasonable profit on each item so that we can go out there as often as they want us to make sure the machines stay stocked. I tell them that they can have the best service or the lowest prices but they can't have both.
  5. I came on here today to find this exact discussion. I've been at $1.25 on candy bars for quite some time now. The manufacturers are squeezing us with the cost of most bars costing upwards of 70 cents or even 75 cents here in the Northeast, I am toying with the idea of going to $1.50 after the first of the year. I am probably going to do the same with pastries. I just activated two tier pricing on all of my USAT devices which at one time I thought i was going to get hell for but, sofar I haven't heard a peep. I mean, if we can't earn a reasonable living doing this then what the heck is the point?
  6. I had the same problem with this machine. I called AMS tech support and they were very helpful. Make sure the reflectors and optical things are clean and free of debris inside the vend bin. i only have 1 of these machines and I dealt with this about a year ago but, I remember AMS walking me through a menu like AZ is mentioning to make sure there is a strong enough optic between the sensors. What I ended up having to do was removing one of the "reflectors" on one of the sides of the bin that had 2 together. I remember that doing this increased some sort of "optic number" that needed to be increased for this machine to function properly. I haven't had this problem since.
  7. Hi, I have a AP studio 3 snack machine that has a couple selections on the top shelf that do not vend properly. I swapped trays around to diagnose and found the issue is with the position rather then the motors or harness. I believe the issue is with the connection the tray is making with the receptical in the back wall of the machine. Is there a trick to fix this on this particular machine? I know that with some national machine you can stick cardboard or something behind it? I unscrewed the bracket that hold the receptical and tried to adjust it and it worked for a little bit but then went back to not making a good connection. I appreciate any help. Thanks
  8. I agree with everyone. I have an off campus housing account for college students that does about $500 / week during the school season and about $450 of that is through cashless transactions. I think at least doubling your sales at this type of location would be very possible with the readers.
  9. Ok thanks for the responses. I appreciate it.
  10. I have a few snack machines that do not have a dex connection that I am able to get cash sales data on just by using the MDB data. Is there something about this particular machine or control board that doesn't allow that?
  11. Hi Guys, I am trying to get an LCM 2 snack to transmit sales and inventory information to my VMS ( Parlevel). This machine does not have DEX but, I have other snack machines that I have transmit basic sales data through MDB. I've been back and forth with both USAT and Parlevel and neither has really had an answer. It seems as the only data USAT is getting is CC sales. Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions. Thanks for your your help, Justin
  12. I think my original post was poorly worded. It’s just a snack machine. It’s not connected to a Frozen slave or anything. When I used the term frozen I meant that the machine “freezes” because once this happens it becomes in-operational. Sorry for the confusion.
