  1. If I, for example, purchase a location for a single; I am paying the locator for a location that will allow and hopefully support a single. If the location is good enough to handle a triple or a rack, that is gravy. If I expect a location that will allow/support a minimum of a rack, I will pay for a rack location.
  2. In KY, it only costs $40 to file articles of incorporation for an LLC, so I picked LLC.

  4. Woo Hoo! Finally off from my day job. Happy birthday vendiscuss!
  5. Does anyone have a photo of an XYZ single head or know of a website that has a decent photo? I have seen the photos on their website but it is obviously not a good photo and doesn't look impressive. I'd like to see a real one in action. Any help would be awesome.
  6. Does anyone know of an energy product, maybe something similar to buzz bites that can be bought without the bizop? One that can be vended in a regular machine? I'd like to try vending some energy candy, but I'm not interested in the bizop side of it.
  7. Has anyone tried paying a locator or locators on commission? I'm thinking about trying to hire a few private locators (by posting on craigslist, etc.) and paying them on commission. Maybe a rate similar to what I would have paid the location for a commission, except pay it for a certain amount of time for a location. For example, if the locator gets me a location that grosses 15 a month, I could pay a commission of 20% for the first year. I know there is probably not a good success rate using locators found through craigslist, or whatever, but my thinking is that this would help to encourage them to find higher dollar locations. Any experience or ideas?
  8. ha, i guess so now that i have learned to read.
  9. On a similar note, TJ King has a similar stand for $16.50. http://www.tjking.com/product.asp?id=3035055
  10. Is that on their website somewhere? All I can find are 850 for $28.84. http://www.tjking.com/product.asp?id=04790
  11. not bad, they gave me a shipping quote of about $10 via ups. They also offer local pickup if you are near new jersey
  12. Didn't we just have a thread a week or so ago about how nice it was that there arent people on here who go around ripping people for starting threads that have been discussed before?
  13. I think that legalities such as that stem from the way you represent yourself. For example, a vending company that says that they "represent" or "work for" or "are endorsed by" a charity would be operating fraudulently. Most local charities do not have a vending program, and without expressed written permission to represent them, or to use their name would be fraudulent. Charities with vending outreach programs have this expressed written permission covered for you so that you have something to fall back on in case someone were to call you out on your charity affiliation.
  14. Maybe there is a way to attach something similar to the stand just below the head. Might be easier to permanently attach something there. Or perhaps make some kind of bracket that would fit in between the head and the stand so that the bolts go through the bracket, then attach your sign to the bracket so that it hangs just below the head.
