  1. Any insight would be useful

    • The set up, Refurbished MEI TRC-6800H with low voltage MEI VN2511 purchased from Vendingworks.com. Machine is loaded with at least 30 cans per each of the 6 flavor slots.  Coin mech is loaded with at least 10 coins per change sleeve. Each flavor slot is primed. All "out of product lights" are off. Coin mech is set for 1.00 vend.  25cent low, BA low, escrow return to on.

After the machine is plugged in the BV cycles and lights up good to go. Before any money is inserted all flavors will free vend until the cows come home.  After coins are inserted free vend stops.  After one dollar amount in coins is reached the machine will return any money inserted over a dollar(like it is supposed to do). But the machine will not vend at all. Also the BV will blink twice on the led on the inside to show that it is not linked anymore with the coin mech.  If upon startup no coins are used, the BV will take a dollar then go to two blink mode. also no vend.  Any help will be appreciated.

  2. Hi,

I need to remove a DN2145 fridge unit. Are there any instructions or videos on this?

  3. Something that will save time and money. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N3JJPYC?psc=1 Don't use the cheap automotive crimpers. These are the best.
  4. A few years back Pepsi took all male and female plugs off service trucks. And forbid the use of them. They also forbid the practice of jury rigging. Electricity is the most dangerous thing you will encounter most likely in vending and safety is the most important aspect for you and your customer. You would be surprised at how many people do not know how to put a plug on a cord. I have seen it many times the plug is wired backwards. You might think this is not a big deal. It is a big deal because now the cabinet is hot. If the cabinet is hot and someones child walks up barefooted on concrete they will be electrocuted and may not survive. If the vendor is sitting beside another vendor that is wired correctly you now have a hot cabinet next to a grounded one. Touching both at the same time will kill you. I had a neighbor that was a Sears technician who went out and was installing a garbage disposer and was plugging it in and for some reason, there were unprotected wires in the back under the sink. He grabbed them and was electrocuted. He told me while he was being shock, and couldn't get loose he was able to get his legs in front of him and force himself loose. Permanent damage to his shoulder and was off work for a year. https://www.amazon.com/Tower-Manufacturing-Attachable-Right-Angle/dp/B011BDWS5Y/ref=dp_ob_title_def Something you need to keep in mind if you cut that gfi off you have made yourself liable for anything that happens.
  5. If you carried one of these in the time it took me to post this you would already know what the problem was. $10. You can test the outlet, you can run it along the cord and it will light up with power applied until you come to the break in the cord. If your ground is broken on the plug it will light up if you touch it to the metal of the vendor. It is a life safer.
  6. Usually, when those GFI's go bad and don't work the box is still warm. That indicates the power is still on.
  7. A few things come to mind when you have multi-vends or no vend. Multi-vends many times you don't know about because customers won't tell you. No vend sometimes will but as long as they get their money back you may not know. On 720 and 721 the control board monitors the amperage of the motor to know if it is jammed. If a jam occurs the motor will draw more current. When this happens the motor will reverse going forward and back for a bit in order to dislodge the jammed product. If it can't dislodge the product it will disable that motor. With keeping that in mind if a motor that was defective it may at times pull too much current. Or maybe something binding the rotor or if the motor was getting weak. If you don't have a spare motor try swapping with a different column to see if the problem follows the motor.
  8. At Pepsi, we never set 720's to vend 4 deep cans. Everything had to be perfect. Straight gauge bars, correct clips, straight delivery chute. Too many service calls because drivers would keep chute clean. Wouldn't clean up after can got pinched and burst. With the V21, it all went away.
  9. Run each motor by pressing the inside switch. If they all run put each switch in the valley on each column. Then deposit change. Each column should run from right to left as you go without pressing a selection switch. Each time you get to vend price the next column should run. If they do then problem is in selection panel or vend relay. If it doesn't then look for a bad switch on the motors. Or a bad coin mech. The coin mech can set vend relay but may not allow vend.
  10. I also believe if a shelf isn't seated good the entire machine won't take money.
  11. On older vendors this is a very good way to eliminate the interference the fluorescents create. Ap 4000 and AP 7600 is a must. National 145 National 430 and 431's are just a few examples. Not only that they are brighter and last a long time. 1000bulbs.com has some good buys.

    AP 7600

  13. Make sure to set switches 1 and 2 on so the bill can be accepted any direction.
