  1. When this first came out, I did some preliminary Google searching and found some not very good results regarding contact with this and food surfaces and sent my findings to A&A. Big surprise there was no response. So I did a hard pass on the Biocide. I use Mean Green or some other antibacterial cleaner that smells nice in case someone walks by. I have been asked about cleaning a couple times and say I have always tried to clean whenever I service to the best of my ability all along. Now I just wear a mask at all times inside a customer's store, and rotate product every time. I will also switch by bringing a tote of 8-10 heads to change them out entirely each cycle, and break down/sanitize and clean older heads. In short, do the best you can.
  2. Slowly change out the 75 cent vends to $1 vends. After that, change out the bounce ball for 50 on the left to a $.75 or $1 bounce a roo type machine.
  3. Gumball guy is correct. Ford gum does have temperature/humidity limitations like almost any candy. However they are way fresher and this is the consequence of that. DB gum has probably been sitting in a warehouse at Sams Club for months before it sees the shelf for you to buy it.
  4. It is likely the huge holes in the middle were to universally mount some sort of 2" machine (A NW80 or similar) with two small machines flanking it. I experimented with a few setups like that in accounts with limited space and they cannot fit a traditional rack setup.
  5. Cheaper the better, they are good machines. I try to aim for anywhere from 15-30 per head based on condition and whether they have gum/toy wheels in them.
  6. Never be afraid to tinker. I have some 2-fer wheels I am saving in case of emergency. I also have a box full of 10 cent mechs from the Ford vendor I bought out, I can use them to crap on my neighbor should it come to that. LOL I changed candy to other candy, or chiclets to try to reduce waste. I have also had to say goodbye to locations who were costing more to bad product than they were making in revenue. That is part of the game also. Use toys where you can in trafficked locations, due to COVID this will be case by case, but keep thinking long term, this will not last forever. I use almost exclusively Ford gum, I was buying a pallet every four months in 2018-19 (my best years ever pretty much) until COVID so I am/was doing some volume. I have some accounts where I changed from gumball to chiclets and had some positive (or at least neutral) results. Meaning, I wasn't throwing out gumballs or more expensive pan candy every service. I have so many candy wheels I had to find some use for them, so I went with Ford Chiclets (w/ 10% Licorice), some of my adult accounts love the licorice and pick them out after they spend a dollar or two getting handfuls of gum out.
  7. I rotate Ford, DB Sour and Watermelon, Nerds Gum depending on the setup and situation. Best bet is to start with assorted flavor gum and add if it kicks butt and change if it doesn’t do as well.
  8. Jeremy helped me put this week with an issue. Vend trak is still running.
  9. Gum and toys are best margin and usually best seller without the mess of bulk candy.
  10. I always upgrade current accounts to racks, and upgrade to larger racks from there. Trying to locate a new location for a 9 head rack is a tall order and with your resources (mid size car), your best bet is to grow your smaller machine accounts to racks as you find home run accounts.
  11. I'm interested, please DM me.
  12. In today’s business environment in vending. You’re looking at 6-8 months gross sales for the route value depending on sales, extra parts, records and quality of route etc. at one time you could get 12-18 months sales but that was a long time ago unfortunately.
  13. Some come from Sams cracked and I’ve had to return numerous cans since they changed from the bags.
