Nick505 Posted May 14, 2013 Share Posted May 14, 2013 I know I have used these machines a lot growing up as a child. I can see them being real money makers in a high tourist area. Every adult and child has seen these and is aware of what they are. I know they have a high price tag but at .50 cents and no cog's I can see them paying for themselves in a year. havending Posted April 20, 2014 Share Posted April 20, 2014 I know a guy that has one in down town Disney in Orlando and he drives down twice a year to pick up an over flowin 5 gal bucket of quarters. And because of the cost and the cost to change dies you would need a contract before purchase. I may look into this for a place I have in mind. I know that these things are around 5 new.. It was a dollar. That model of machine would be less appealing to me. The thing I like the most about the presses is not having to stock any product. ronsidney Posted April 21, 2014 Share Posted April 21, 2014 Know someone that runs a bunch of them and the guy he works for is in big lawsuit i believe because of some kid getting his hand in back where someone i guess had tried to rob it and broke back off, the kid got his hand crushed and severed and the owner of machine is liable even though it had been broke into is only way back cover could have been off.. BUT..he said they make a killing, in theme park he may operate 10 or so and collect 10K a month in the season from one park.. They are super expensive, at IAAPA they are 10k or so for one of them is what i got priced as i was interested because im in some restaurants in the same town as National parks etc.. and thought that would be good locations.. ron Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
zapjones Posted May 11, 2014 Share Posted May 11, 2014 used to work for eurolink who does the Disney presses and I can confirm they make tons of money in a Disney theme park. have no idea how they do on a smaller scale. The only reason the ones on the cruise ships have coin dispensers built in is because nobody carries change on a cruise ship and they make no money if they are not on a swipe card or have a change machine next to them.
