This your machine? Got you attention, read below.

I need to be smart!

My "job" pays $214 a month for car allowance and I am given a gas card.

Vendors dream, here is where I need your help...

What do you think is the best car/truck to run snack boxes, donation boxes, beverages, and gumball machines in?

MINI VAN? SUV? STATION WAGON? Am I dreaming to find something with a $200 dollar payment?

It needs to be somehting that can handle heavy driving because my job requires me to visit multiple stores, (as I build my route a long the way)!

I appreciate you taking the time to read this and if you leave a comment your great!

This is useful information before buying a car. Im taking a huge loss, selling my Camry Hybrid that would prob last me until my kids 30th birthday and I dont even have kids, but as they say..."time for a bigger boat". I left a photo because I know people love looking at photos...save it as your background its badazz.

p.s anyone in the billboard business?

If you are gonna be smart, then keep the Camry for awhile. I have a vehicle allowance that is way higher than that and I still wish I had something that got better mileage.

We bought a used minivan for our needs, could not be happier. With the seats our the room is perfect, it is a comfortable ride and the one we got has bonus AWD drive which is necessary in CO. Drives and parks like a car and the sliding side doors make even small parking spots viable because of the smaller profile. Happy hunting and post a picture of whatever you end up with.

Sound advice. It's best to be practical.

Plenty of full-time vendors run bulk and honor vending routes without having a specialty vehicle, cargo van, or box truck.

Any vehicle that can handle substantially more cargo than a Camry is going to cost you more than the $214 per month your allowance provides.

You aren't doing yourself any favors putting that $214 towards a vehicle you don't need and then having to make up the payment difference out of your own pocket.

That's like spending money on something you don't need just so that you can use a coupon.

Besides, what if you LOSE the job giving you the allowance?

If you can wait Chevrolet is coming out with a new mini Express cargo van in the fall. It is supposed to get around 25mpg.

It is going to be a rebadged Nissan NV200 that you can get now.  From what I have seen the Ford Transit Connect looks to be the better option in that size category.  With that said I am sure they are all pretty good for what they do.  I am waiting on the full size Transit to come out as the probable replacement for my Sprinter eventually.

I know a vehicle like that is supposed to be about function not fashion.

But, DANG!

That Nissan NV200 is ugly.

I actually looked at the Transit 2 years ago.  I was looking for a vehicle that would accommodate me in my full time job and my vending.  I sell truck parts in my full time gig and the Transit seemed like it would fit well.  After driving one and researching the mileage it got I opted for the F150. Slightly less than the Transit as far as mileage goes but with the 4 door cab and the bed room is no problem.  It did however come with a higher price tag. Being in a vehicle sometimes 16 hours a day, I'm glad I went with the roomier and larger engine.
