Cloudedjourney
Anyone vend toys from these? There are 5 triples for sale near me for a reasonable price and was thinking of doing 2 candy and 1 toy if it could work.
Rick
It works. But do 2 toy and 1 GB. You're welcome in advance.
davco1
Do yourself a big favor and put 27mm bouncys and a round 1" toy in there, with a candy. I've tried every possible modification to sell acorn capsules through those machines and I still get misvends. Oh, and you're welcome in advance. Oh, and one more thing, these are excellent machines, we run about 100 of these and about 100 of the newer model from LYPC and we couldn't be happier with the machines. Nickstar9604
So you guys would say that it is more profitable to sell toys out of triples instead of gum or candy? Also what is a good price for a triple?
Rick
On average Nickstar, the answer is yes. Obviously there are variables. You're not going to do BB and toys in a manufacturing break room. And I personally like gum more than toys because of the super low costs. In my experience, if I'm going to use a triple there are two models that stand heads-n-shoulders above the rest. The 1-800 and the Northwestern Triple Play. If you can find them used in very good condition for <$80 you're doing very well (especially the TriplePlay). But that's for my area of the country and your mileage may vary.
Cloudedjourney
I have never had much success with Gumballs even though they are a higher profit item. I have done way better with Mike and Ike's and PMM. That's why I was considering switching out my gum for some bouncy balls, but depends on where I get them located. Thanks for the info everyone. GagesVending
I've been vending acorn 1.1" capsules from one of my 1800s and no compaints.
shepherdsflock
I've been vending acorn 1.1" capsules from one of my 1800s and no compaints. Same here. I did find there are two variations on the 1800 gumballs wheels. There are some that have only one set of adjustment holes and some have two sets of holes. The ones with only one set of holes don't adjust far enough open to allow acorn capsules to vend properly. You can drill new holes (I think I used a 5/64" drill bit) so that you can open the wheels further. Then take out the gumball riser and remove the longer of the two springs that cover the product chute. There you go, that's how you vend acorn capsules from a 1800 triple. The only thing I have encoutered is an occasional capsule jam when the capsules get wedged just right inside the canister and can't drop into the product wheel.
