shepherdsflock
I have a location that has requested I get rid of bouncy balls because a small kid almost choked on one. Fair enough. I have a four way rack in this location that I got rid of three heads of candy several months ago and went to three heads of toys and one head of candy. It was working great. I cut my spoilage down to zero from about 25% (they always wanted Peanut M&Ms but never ate them fast enough and gumballs just didn't sell; and the third candy did so-so). Now that I'm about put another head of candy back in the mix, I don't want to go with Peanut M&Ms again. Does anyone know if Peanut Butter M&Ms last longer than Peanut M&Ms? I could also do Reese's Pieces, but I don't like the waxy coating on them that makes them clump in warmer weather.
GagesVending
They seem to do okay, but I'm not sure that they last longer than PMM. PB M&Ms did well the first month I tried them (nearly emptied 450 globe) because they were requested by employees, but the second month sales went way down; I didn't even refill. You could always just pour what will actually sell in the machine, rather than making it look nice by filling it.
Nick505
Skittles or a hard pressed candy such as runts, nitwitz, rascals..
shepherdsflock
I've had skittles and runts in this location in the past. Skittles did okay, but I replaced them with Mike and Ikes and the Mike and Ikes sell much better. Runts did not sell well at all. I had them in the machine for about 6 months and sold maybe $10 in that time. Threw a bunch away. I had Reese's Pieces in there at one time and it sold okay, but I didn't like how the waxy coating would cause them to clump together in the hot humid summer. gumball guy
I would suggest adjusting your inventory level in the machines to reduce your loss. I wouldn't be throwing out Runt's after just six months. These things retain their taste for well over a year. Great candy for slower out of the way locations that are on a longer service cycle. TexasFreemason
Peanut Butter M&Ms did not do well for me. They didn't hold up as well as Peanut M&Ms.
