Hired a new person to run one of my routes that's way out there

Had a meeting for training, went over basics..

First day of work I take her to the first stop

Its just a beaver shooting hoops with gum.

I had given this person some training before we got there

She goes in to a muffler shop first ahead of me,

I am getting stuff from the truck at the moment.

She uses her hands to fill the gumballs instead of the gloves... or even the plastic bags provided or even paper towel instead..

one of the service guys says to her I hope you washed your hands

I walk in to her telling me about the service guy said about hand washing.

I did however hand her a glove..  and say well we did last 20,000 years on the planet without hand sanitizer or running water but you have to wear gloves or use plastic.

she wont let it go she proceeds to point the guy out in the bay..

I blew it off like ok...

THEN.... SHE SAYS....  YEAH A GREASE MONKEY TELLING ME TO WASH MY HANDS>>>

well the owner/manager was in his office listening 10 feet away..

He comes out and says  their not grease monkeys... their technicians..  get your machine out of here..

It was a Low performing machine   Id say a 6 month maybe $20.00

I was considering pulling it out anyway but it was 0% commission..

so I took it with me took her back to her car...

Use 1 gal ziploc bags.

They are cheap, reusable, they keep the gumballs fresh, fold for easy storage when empty, and are so easy to use on location.

Just open up half-way and pour the gumballs into the globe.

For filling the bags, I just use one those big plastic mugs that every home seems to have several of.

No need to pay for something like a scoop.

You can get these mugs for free because companies are always giving them away with their name on them.

Something like this...

That's a first using gloves to grab the gumballs…. I thought everyone used a scooper or cup and put them in a 1" cap plastic bag and just poured then in the machine.

A little scary a gumball guy walking in with rubber gloves. I would think all the employees would keep their distance and not bend over thinking you may be there to check their prostate.

Maybe I have just been on the wrong path all this time, but I pour the gum out of the bag in the box.

I don't use a scoop or gloves.

Open and poor very simple!!!

Me too, then on machines like a spiral i get empty bag from box and put over my hand and then reach in globe and stir them  up..I've got pretty good over the years not spilling any..If its a slow stop i will pour out old gumballs in another empty box i have(with bag still in it) and then pour new ones in..
