Recommended Posts

Hi, I just received my caner charity honor boxes from Sheridan, and was wondering what is the best way to place these boxes, since there is no script is available. I assume it is something like tell them my name and that I am placing honor boxes in businesses to help fund a cure for cancer. Any suggestions are very much appreciated!

I have place hundreds of bulk vending machines, so I am sue I can do it, but it woould be nice to hear from people that alreaqdy have.

Thanks

I just take the box in with me and ask them if I can place the box in their business to raise money for breast cancer research.  My wife and I placed 16 more yesterday so we placed 26 in two days withoiut working hard or spending all day doing it. She had never placed anything before and does not like to talk to people but it was still easy for her.

it's rough.

I lost like 60% a month when I did it.

I even saw people taking stuff and walking to their desks without paying.

they mean well, like, I have no money now but will get them on payday. then forget of course. "Feed a secretary and make a friend"

Hi Everyone

I'm new to this site and have a question.  I came across Sheridan's website and the Cancer charity boxes.  Does anyone have any feedback or comment on a realistic expectation for how much money you can make with this type of program?  Their ad states $400 to $1000 a month part-time, but does not say how many boxes you need to generate this kind of income.

Appreciate any advice.

Thanks

RCR

I have heard that the average for the mint honor boxes is around $18 per box per month.  With that being said I have locations doing $5 per month and I have locations doing $20 per month as well as a few locations doing $100+ per month.  The key is to keep your shrinkage in check.  If you don't, then this will become a losing proposition for you.

Treadmill do you have any advice for keeping shrinkage low?

Not really. Just when the location has more shrinkage than money coming in on a consistent basis for a couple of monthly cycles is when I pull the box and chalk it up as a loss.

My boxes are doing extremely well, today I ordered another 50 boxes they should be in next week and within about 2 days I will have them all placed.

That sounds great. With this purchase of 50 new boxes, how many boxes will you then have?

I will be up to 100. I plan on placing several hundred, the money from the boxes will help me to keep expanding my bulk vending business too.

What are you putting in them? Just wrapped mints, or peppermint patty mints? I locate these for customers, but never asked how each individual product did! LOL! I'm thinking about doing what your doing and using them as an addition to the bulk route!

I use York peppermint patties in my boxes.

I use pearson mints because I can not get york from sams club where I live.  I also use blow pops, hershey mini's, twix, snickers the small ones.  You will find that you have to service these boxes a lot more often then bulk vending machines, but they are making a lot more money then my bulk machines. All the product I mentioned I sell 3 for a dollar except the blow pops are 50 cents each.
