AngryChris
I have a national refreshtron with some problems. I had to initially change out coin mechs before I placed it 2 months ago. Upon doing so that (non-refurbished) coin mech stopped working. I put a refurbished one in and it gets disabled about every other week. I have to turn the machine off and on before it will work. It takes bills but won't take change or give change until I restart the machine. Is this a board issue or just bad luck on coin mechs?
allen watson
I have the same problem with coin mechs in AP snack machines and Coffee makers. It seems when I replace the coin mech it solves the problem. At one location I had a coin mech in a coffee machine that would shut off every couple of weeks. I switched the coin mech with the snack machine next to it and both have been working fine ever since. Dunno?
AZVendor
The first thing to check is the door switch and the mounting of it and the bracket it pushes against. Make sure there isn't any play in the door that might lead to an open door switch. If you suspect the door switch, and I would, try removing one wire from it to simulate the machine being in the vend mode, effectively bypassing the switch. If your problem disappears then you know it was the switch. If the switch isn't the issue, then if you've been using Mars mechs switch to a Coinco. If using Coinco mechs, switch to a Mars. If none of these things fix it then you have an intermittent board or board connection.
AngryChris
I will try the coin mech swap to a coinco. I did mess with the switch but I did not bypass it so I may give that a shot.
AngryChris
I swapped the trc 6000 with a coinco 9300-L. So far, everything seems perfect.
