Underestimated
Been a lurker for quite a few months now, thanks to a wealth of information and knowledgeable people on this forum. Very long story short, my wife found an existing vending business for sale locally on craigslist and after reviewing their figures paying $30k on a $60k gross business didnt really make enough sense to buy. Especially when seeing a net of $13k. Alot of machines and quite a few locations, but still too rich for the coin being asked. So, I took half of my daughters savings account that we started funding from one of our other businesses, and purchased 4 machines and after the help from AZ Vender I managed to place 3 of them last month and the other just waiting on the location to clear their old machine. Spent $1k in pop/snacks for the machines which I never imagined would be that high for the initial stock, and 4 weeks in pulled $240 in cash out of the 3 machines. Not terrible, but certainly better thanI expected. 1 AP6600 machine 1 Mars confectionary snack 1 vendo 720 I kept pricing cheap, not looking to get rich from this, just looking to continue building my 7 month old daughters nest egg. pjvend
Craigslist postings (sincere and not come ons) can usually be had for good value. Get in the habit of asking if that is the best price.
