Locator services

Not to pour salt in any wounds but I placed a single order for a double head with LRU last friday and just a few hours ago received a very promising looking location.

 

Did you order through them directly?  Or use vendiscuss as the go between?

Just placed the machine this afternoon. I was able to pick the placement of the machine. I put it in the entrance way beside the row of seating you sit at while waiting for a table to become available. Around lunch time the place was almost full.

Is LRU in Thailand? The reason I ask is because they are experiencing a military coup. Let's be honest if that was happening here I wouldn't be going to work either. Or they just hate us :).

They are (or were last I knew) located in the Phillipines. Nothing for nothing but they always seem to have some excuse for not responding to emails. They seem to have no trouble taking hard earned money from people.

If they can take your money, they can reply to an email.

LRU  are located in the Philippines. I have bought lots of locations from them before the mediator locating service without any problems. Like all locators, you get some good and some bad. They have no way of knowing what the location looks like or will do over the phone.

I've probably bought 50 or 60 locations from them.

So can I still place an order thru TVF for LRU for locations ASAP?

 

No.  The TVF Store was removed due to inactivity - insufficient locating services.  So you can order locations from LRU...just not via TVF

This is what I don't get, LRU got me two locations in a couple days, now it's been almost 2 months, they have only 1 location left (ordered 3 total) and they don't respond/haven't gotten me the last location.

 

How hard is it to get 1 location in 45 days, when you got 2 locations in 3ish days.  The area I gave them has over 100K people, and I have NO machines in the town other then the 2 they placed.

 

Also I don't get why vendiscuss is ignoring me.  Is the guy sick? dead? not caring?  If you don't want to handle customer issues, don't offer a mediation service.

 

The vending world is the most unprofessional business world I've ever been in.  If the real estate world acted like this I'd be smashing some heads.

Don't bash the site.  Send a PM to Steve and ask him.

 

I already messaged him, weeks ago, multiple ways.

 

Also I brought up the issue subtly a while ago in another thread and people contacted me via pm saying they're having the same issue with vendiscuss.  I just got tired of "staying quiet and seeing what happens" and decided to speak up.

 

Listen, I love this forum.  The people on here have helped me so much.  From answering my n00b questions, to letting me vent in the chat room when one of my machines was vandalized, to just overall rooting each other on.

 

But vendiscuss has my money.  And isn't responding.  LRU hasn't found all of my locations, and won't respond.  I'm frustrated, and rightly so.  And I've been patient, I've waited for weeks, NOT days...it's time someone speaks up on what's going on.

 

If someone at vendisucss has a personal family emergency or something I TOTALLY understand, and have no problem waiting for a refund and for the back log to get cleared up.  But I think people that paid for the service, like me, at least deserve an answer after weeks of waiting, even something like "sorry we've got other issues right now and expect to address your concern next month" would satisfy me.

FWIW, a person who contacted me via pm has been waiting for a refund since 5/20.  That's almost a month.

I was that member. I contacted Sherlock and the last guidance he gave me was on 6/12 saying that Steve was out of pocket for the past month or so on non-TVF related business. I expect to get a refund, something just tells me Steve has other things going on right now. It's a risk of doing business through any medium that funds could be potentially locked for awhile. If I don't get a refund, then I'll eat my shoe that's how sure I am of the integrity of TVF and its leadership. 

 

In the off chance I do eat my shoe, please remit any seasonings my way.

I see. The vending world is so unprofessional.

But, it's ok in the real estate industry to go around "smashing some heads"......that's soooooo professional. :rolleyes:

Open a dispute with both paypal and your bank. Paypal declined a dispute from me because it went over 90 days but my bank got the money back.

You have a few things in your favor:

1- You made multiple attempts to get refunded.

2- Paypal seller protection dosent apply to services which are non tangible items so paypal should side with you.

3- Escrow services require special authorization from paypal or its against their acceptable use policy so they should know that your money was in escrow and act accordingly.

You guys really don't think the locating world is filled with scummy actors?  From locators ignoring vendors, to straight up stealing money, to taking months to reply to a simple email.

 

I just don't get how you defend their actions.  I've been straight up stolen from 2 times, and this is a potential third.  I've only used 4 locators.  So at best it's 2 out of 4 locators stole from me, at worst it's 3 out of 4 locators stole from me.  Not sure why everyone is so butt hurt about me pointing that out. 

 

Obviously you guys are friends with steve and that's why you're defending him even though taking a month to reply to a simple message is unacceptable in almost any type of business.  It's been rumored now that the reason LRU quit locating for people that paid through vendiscuss is because steve quit paying the locators within a reasonable amount of time.  If that's true or not I have NO idea...but I'm tired of staying quiet.  There's more to the story then people are letting on, and I want to know the whole/true story.

 

(it would make sense afterall, my order/other people's order through vendiscuss to LRU has stopped being worked on, but people who ordered directly through LRU are still having their order continued to be worked on)

edited to add:  If steve took 3 minutes to post a very short/quick reply, this whole thread would be pointless/die.  I really don't get why we have to speculate/talk/golpher on this forum about what's going on when he can end it all with a simple 1 paragraph answer and we can all move on.
