lowcountry Dan
Does anybody use Bonz candy? I have seen this candy offered in grocery store setups by Vendomatic. By the way, they never use name brand candies. It's always gumballs and something like Spree or Bonz. In my search for a more cost effective candy, I am considering this one, along with Boston Baked Beans. If the big boys can get away with never offering brand name product, we should too. I have to make some changes, but don't wish to be stuck with product that won't move. I can order 25 lbs. for $49.00 from Candy Machines with free shipping. This makes the cost $2.00 per pound. Thanks for any advice. lowcountry dan
Action Vending
Sprees and bonz are name brand candies. Sprees do well but are expensive.
Hillbilly
The Bonz did not do well for me. I've had much better luck with the Rascals which are similar to Runts and Bananarama.

By the time a person figures in shipping and cost, isn't it all about 2 a pound until you can but in leather bulk? even runts is getting up there! I'm switching to rascals soon. I personally use chewy spree and several others depending on location Does anybody use Bonz candy? I have seen this candy offered in grocery store setups by Vendomatic. Most kids don't even know what they are
musser
I have some locations do very well with bones. It's crazy really as they are pressed dextrose just like runts etc. But for some buyers there is a difference go figure

lowcountry Dan
Thanks for the responses. I suppose you have to make your best guess on what candy will sell. I have a machine at a Men's Wearhouse in a mall. It has PMM's , Mike and Ikes, and Skittles. Even though there are only a few guys working there, it does quite well. I asked the employees about candy in general. The response was that adults tend to want brand name candies, while kids may not care about the brand. I found this interesting and thought I'd pass it along. I just want to have some options. If one candy won't move, I need to have an alternative that might work.
