Megatouch the way to go?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

First post here on the forum, and I'm very new to vending. My "route" if you would really like to call it that, just consists of a barber shop with a Back Rubber, I've been doing some research on them and I would like to mount a countertop arcade on a coffee table  and throw it in the barber shop. I'd like to spend between $500 and $800 for a used flat-screen unit.

My problem is that it's difficult to gather information on the machine's and I don't know which unit is best for me and my wallet.

I know I definitely want to accept bills and coins

I know Megatouch is the big name and has the most loved games (which is extremely important) but I've noticed that throughout a lot of forums people seem to dislike everything about the machines themselves and definitely their price$$$$$

I would love if you could tell me the make/model of machines you own or have owned and share your experiences and anything else you may have to say about these machines

Thank you! :D

They are dead for sure.  I still have a bunch out there but I am trashing them as soon as they break down.  Might as well leave them out there pulling in 10's of dollars until they break.

Have to agree with the statements above.  Tabletops have games like the ones available on your phone.  It will get very little play.  Just about anything else would be a better investment.  If the reason your mounting it on a coffee table is because of space issues you might consider buying a cocktail table game.  Otherwise buy a crane or a used candy crane.  You should be able to find something in those 3 types that would fit your proposed budget.

They don't really have the traffic for a crane or similar machine. And they have a bulk machine that the shop owner owns and takes care of. I just got a feeling the machine would do well if it was thrown right infront of the waiting bench. If i came across a functioning machine at a steal price which should i go for or avoid?

I have Merits and JVL's.  I will sell you one for $800.  It would take me years to get make $800 out of it assuming it lasted that long (and it won't).

Seriously, if you want to buy one and have it shipped up to NY let me know and I will pull one off the route ASAP.
