nikpounder
Does anyone have experience setting up for special events like county/state fairs, outdoor music festivals or street fairs? I found a picture of custom trailer with bulk machines specifically for that purpose. Even has a coin changer. Haven't heard back from the owner but wanted to hear from others. Picture of his rig is attached.
musser
Wrong set up. You need capsule and sticker machines , small caps will be ignored and candy and sunlight and heat don't mix. But then again a sticker machine in the rain is no winner. However I do know a guy that used to do this and he did make a little bit of money . I could see where you could make money with the right product and crowd. My other concern would be the fees charged for setting up there. I see some really outrageous fees for food vendors and wouldn't want to be classified as such.
sherlock
Jeez -- with the way the roads are in my area with rocks and debris getting kicked up, most of those globes would be toast after a few highway miles.
musser
I have set up at fairs in the " commercial" building. Booths were not very expensive, it's not a vending "location" although you make some sales, but an advertising opportunity. Results were modest .
