How much should I expect to pay for delivery of a soda vending machine from a vending company?

I know I probably can't get an exact answer from this thread. But I'm just out for a guess.

I found a vending company to purchase a soda vending machine from that is around 30 miles away. I emailed them yesterday and they said $800.00 is what they sell vending machines for.

I forgot to ask them though what the delivery charge would be. But I did ask them in another email today when I remembered to. But won't get an answer until Monday.

This is the route I plan to go as moving machines are hard work. I plan to save the extra money to get a soda vending machine from them and have them deliver it to my auto shop and the machine will be set outside.

I don't really care what the price is that they charge me and I won't think it's too steep as I know how heavy they are and whatever I have to spend to have them deliver it and do all the handling of it will be worth it.

I'd just like to know how much I'll need to save up for the delivery fee.

If you had one delivered how much did they charge?

Thanks

Chad

I include delivery with my sells up to 40 miles and then it is $1 a mile. I like to deliver mine and show how to set up and make sure I haven't missed something.

Very Lucky!

Here in south Louisiana I have nobody to move machines, before I bought my vendors dolly the only place I found quoted $350 to move a single machine!  :o

No, thank you!

I now move my own machines with the proper dolly and a utility trailer.  :D

I would gladly pay $100 to move my cold drink machines!

Hey guys, I am just looking to get into vending, either to start a route or more likely to buy one that is already up and running - so excuse the newbie question. If you want to move a machine yourself, what is the best way to go about it? I have a few burly friends who would be happy to help me out.

Also, what do most machines weigh, approximately? Thanks!

Machines are not easy to move, I do all my own moves for my company but I had to invest in special equipment such as a Vending Dolly and also a lift and roll dolly for clamshelling the machines throw narrow doorways and a pallet jack, That is just to move the machine but how are you going to transport?  you will need a trailer with a ramp or a truck with liftgate.

It is very costly but if you are going to be doing this full time it is an investment that is worth it in my opinion.post-7322-0-20844500-1409598370_thumb.jpgpost-7322-0-27312500-1409598383_thumb.jpg

You will lose your burly friends once they move a 600 E by man handling. LOL

Expect weights of 500 lbs to 1,000 lbs

You are better off paying when you are getting started.

If you friend gets hurt and is off work for 6 weeks who is going to pay his bills?

Who will pay for the plate glass window if it gets broken?

When the bill is over 700 a month then it is time think about getting your own moving equipment and crew.

30 miles, I consider a far drive. In my area it should be less than $75, but I'm not sure how things are in your state. My mover charges me $50. My moves are usually less than 15 miles.

I don't know much about other movers except when I move something I am insured. If the vendor is broken I can fix it. It also gives me an opportunity to sell other equipment. Lot of times its a trade out and I bring the old one to the shop and fix it.

Usually takes 1hr from start to finish. Unless there are a lot of doors. Vendors time is money. Most of the time they are on their route and don't have time to jack around. Your time is still worth money even if you aren't making any. I would rather sit at home and make nothing than go and make ten bucks.
