EIV
I get to a mower shop, walk in and see a triple .25c machine like in the pic. Totally empty and covered and dust. So I'm all happy thinking sweet! I'm a shoe in at this point this machine looks like crap. I rung the bell owner comes out give him my spiel. He doesn't want my machine. Even after I told him its no maintenance, candy expense/time for him its all on me. He said its a good little money maker for him its just not high on his priority list to fill it. So hes on my list and I'll try again in a few months and I will see if its filled and clean then.
EIV
Anyone run in to business owners like this and successfully change there mind over time?
sherlock
Have come across several locations like this in the past. Never have been able to change the owners mind. But, I don't regret trying.
Makes Cents
I have but every time it came back to bite me. One was a chinese buffet the owner had a spiral from sams club but let me place a 4 head rack with two 1" toy caps and two candy selections. Saw my A&A global product display with their contact info, called them and bought 8 head rack and booted me. That was fun. Next a location owner had a triple, he let me put in a single gb. My first service he asked how to adjust the wheels so his triple didnt give as much candy. I showed him. My next service he kicked me claiming he had to scrape up gum. That was fun as well. Owner with their own machine= greedy pain and I now pass, they will always resent you making some money and they will always want to make all of it. dkochan
When I see an empty bulk vending machine, 90% of the time it's the owner's machine.
pjvend
I have taken over some locations after they got 'tired' of stocking their machines.
