SkydiverBC
There is a guy selling a combo set of what I think is a USI 3039 with a 6 drink satellite unit that connects to it. I'm not familiar with these. Are there any known gremlins I should be aware of or, assuming they check out ok, would they be reasonably reliable. I want them for a lighter use account, asking price is about $800 for the set. Thanks
SkydiverBC
And I think its a 3038, 6 selection can vendor that attaches to it. The label says FSI (in photo he sent), but seems to be a USI. How old would it be if it has a FSI label?
AZVendor
FSI is Federal Sales Inc. which is another of the brands like USI (U-Select-It [uSI sounds better]) that Wittern sells the same machines under. If you're sure of the model numbers then the 3039 is a GF19 with a SMIII logic board. It's something like 5 board generations back but is a sound logic board. The 3038 is a CD6 which has a serpentine rack for 12 oz cans only and is slaved to the snack. Both machines are from 2001 or so. $800 for the pair isn't bad as long as they are in terrific shape. SkydiverBC
Thanks! Would it be MDB?
AngryChris
If it gas an SM3 board then no, it would not ne MDB. I don't know which generation first switched to MDB but the f80 boards are MDB.
AZVendor
You won't be able to run MDB in the GF19 unless it has the F80 board. That board is indicated by a red credit display.
TKK
these have yellow display right? not mdb. i have 3 sets in locations they r ok, however im trying to stray away from usi drink machines
SkydiverBC
I was told by the seller they have a green display. I was hoping for MDB as all of my other machines are MDB. I like the size and the price and it will be perfect for a smaller location I have. I am going to look at them Thursday.
AZVendor
The green display is also the SMIII board. Some people see it as yellow and some as green. The actual florescent display is blue and then is viewed through a yellow lens. The machine won't be MDB, it will use a 12 pin 24V coin mech, probably a Coinco 9302L, and might still have an old Maka validator. I don't remember when the Loonies came out and I know not many machines had bill validators after that, but this might have had a validator on it when new.
