rodney69
Yes they were Folz had thousands of machines. A mech can be tooled for it sure but NW is not about to invest in it. It could be a 3 or four coin back to back. I was thinking tool the front metal, but it is just what goes through my mind. More time and so on it would be something to just look at. I'm still buying big oaks used for my racks. curious to hear from Jax though. No 2"?
rodney69
I wish years ago I would have looked at singles and racks instead of staying the way I did for so long. Oh well, stills years left to move on!

Smiley
Problem is that people are idiots and don't read I've seen them not be able to figure out where to put the 3rd quarter on a 75 cent mech. That doesnt mean you should pull your 75 cent mechs
orsd
But with the .75 they can get thier cash back But with the blocked holes they be like oh the mech turned and nothing came out so its broken and complain and the loc either wraps 10 miles if tape around your machine or boots you after too many times
Lake Cities Vending
Those machines are obsolete - period. They can not be upgraded. Time for the scrap metal yard. But just to create some debate.... IMHO, I think that two inch vending in general is no longer worth pursuing and it's best days are behind it. I sold off most of my two inch machines. Too much hassle and not enough profit. Products are too hit or miss, more expensive, more costly to ship, takes up a lot of space in the van and in storage, service time is too long when swapping, displays are expensive, kids seem more fickle with the two inch than the one inch, too much dead inventory, etc. Plus without a viable dollar coin, kids (or their parents) need to have at least 3 or 4 quarters in their pocket to get that two inch prize. IMHO, better to invest in one inch at 50 cents, flat tattoos at 50 cents, interactive machines and of course gumballs. I not saying that you can not make money with two inch, but you can make just at much money (or even better) with other setups - especially interactive machines IMHO. For me two inch has become more of a niche rather than a norm and it's use will be very limited going forward. R.I.P. two inch vending - I will not miss you at all. And Rodney, you seem to be intrigued with two inch vending. Just let it go! Move on and invest in other types of machines - IMHO and with all due respect of course. I agree. I am changing some of my Northwestern 80's 2" to 1" wheels. They already have the .50 coin mech.
musser
Reinventing the wheel is never a good path to profit. The NW classic is just that, a classic whose time has passed. The best feature of the nw 80 is the "crack back" upper half, makes changing product a snap.

pjvend
Why is that they do not want to ship?
Action Vending
If I remember right the ad says without coin mechs.
