well,  I have to get two new bright and shiny  racks for a location that only wants NEW...

its 2 locations and they want 5 way racks only

I am reviewing my options

2    2 inch on top     one at $.75  the other at $1.00

3 1 inch on the bottom     two set at $.50 cent one at $.25  for bouncy ball... was thinking all 3 at $.50 cent

Or just go 6   1 inch vendors   $.50 each.

and try to phase out two inch

Was thinking A&A  pm elite

Or beaver,

Price is not a concern they last forever..

I love the PM supremes. If your in a dry area the chrome looks good.

Your not the first person to mention the phasing out of 2". IMHO I think it is a necessity to a rack. Have you considered a 2" and a two column machine as well?

Curious why I'm seeing posts the last few days of phasing out of 2" ?  We should have a long way to go being able to vend a buck on them . With 1" aren't we in trouble in things go beyond .50?

Personally, the 2" have never sold well for me.

Of all I carry (1" toys, 2" toys, flat, bounce balls, candy, etc), 2" is by far the slowest mover...no matter the price-point or the product.

As the owner of both chrome and black stands, there is no question chrome looks better.

And having owned all different types of bulk machine brands due to route purchases, I am happy with the quality of Beaver machines, but they're not worth the extra cost.

Even though "price is not a concern" I still recommend you avoid paying more for chrome and more for Beaver when you could have a good quality A&A or Oak machine on a shiny new black rack stand for a fraction of the cost.

Bill,

I have a brand new  NW on a chrome stand for a lot less cost. 1-2" and 1-2 col sticker on top…3- 60's on bottom. This looks way better then A & A and Beaver is way too expensive.

I also have a beaver they may pass for new for less then a third of new cost.

Problem is always the cost of shipping…. If you want to make a road trip also may have a few cranes.

PM ME ...

I like the new square Beaver 1" machines.  One thing I always hated about my 1" Beaver machines are that they are so hard to fill and don't hold as much.

As far as phasing out 2", I am still selling a lot of it so it isn't going anywhere any time soon.

Flat Vending on the top shelf for sure (3 columns max).  50 cent one inch toys - including super balls.  If you have a junk toy mix, could vend for 25 cents.  What about gumballs?  Do gumballs if the location allows gum.  If you go with a 2-column flat machine, you could do another one inch on the top.  Not a big fan of 2 inch any more.  I prefer the black stands - the chrome just corrodes too quickly in humid environments.

I'm a small timer, but AA has been a nightmare for me.  I've only ordered through them once, so it's a really small sample size, but in 1 order (of 4 bulk heads, already had the rack) 2 of the heads didn't come with all the screws.  So they had to resend those (which caused minor damage in shipping since the bulk head's insides "wobbled" around so much)

1 of the mechs doesn't work (just shoty parts, two of the parts hit, I'm trying to grind them down so it'll stop jamming, they won't accept an exchange since they "test them rigorously" at the factory)...it's an obvious made in china, inferior parts machine.

I know what I'm about to say probably no one else will agree with me...but I like my vendstars over AA.  (I know, my experience was that nightmarish)

With that said though, I LOVE beavers.  I have a bunch of used, neglected, beat up beavers, and all of them perform like rock stars.  I LOVE BEAVERS!

And as far as toys go, I have 2" .75 NFL heads that sell great right now.  Got them through AA.  Their toys have been great.

Did you talk to Chris? If I was a business owner I would do just about anything than have a review like that!

AA is usually really a GREAT place to order from. Ann at extension 369 is good.

2" toys are $1.00 and flat is .75 or 1.00 too. 1 inch is .50 at minimum.  I think its time to try out .50 gumballs. All candy has to be at .50 or more.

Who is your A&A sales rep?

NW 5 way. 2" @ 1.00 - 2 column flat on top. 3 1" on bottom at .50 or swap our one for a .25 GB. I love Oak Vista or PO 89 for chsrity. Not for racks. I would never phase out 2" just limit it. A competitor may convince them they are losing revenue and happily feel the void.

Hey rikakaza..I like my vendstars too...and I have also have had problems with AA..I've had to drill out holes that should have been already drilled out. I have also been shorted screws..pain in the can...I don't like the locks on vendstars..they're almost like plastic, and can easily be broken if you overtighten them. My AA jammed and made me lose a customer..

Jason is my rep.

@Rodney: No I haven't talked to Chris, is that the owner or someone that posts here?

He's not the owner, but I think he's a manager. Either way, he makes things happen.

Jason is my rep too and well, well see how it goes.

Just tell your rep what you need. If he won't replace broken new mechs go to AA home page contacts and management. Email Ben Gram to let him know. AA has always stood behind their machines. You and rep must have communication break down.

Customer having to pay shipping both ways on faulty mechs is not standing behind their machines.

Heck when oak sent me the worng thing they even arraigned for the FedEx guy to come

1 call and everything was arranged for, no extra costs either

Me as well. A lid was messed up in shipment and I called about it. I had another one in the mail! No return needed.

Unfortunately, I think this whole thing is due to the sales rep, not the company. AA will do what they can to make their customers happy and I don't think Jason has experience.
