My new vending supply business: feedback?

Hi!
I've been lurking the Vendiscuss forums for awhile now and wanted to share with all of you my new business that I'm currently testing out. The link to the website is here. The site is still in preview mode so the password to access the page is "engaym". The concept still needs a bit of work but the basic idea is to sell wholesale vending stock on a monthly subscription basis. I'm starting out with specialty snacks and candy, but I would be adding a wider variety of subscription packages later on. Also shown on the website are designs for vending machines that I hope to manufacture. I have a lot of ideas about how to make vending machines more aesthetically appealing, and would be selling the machines at a discounted price for subscribers. The goal is to be an integrated, one-stop-shop for people wanting a vending machine business, and making the vending business more appealing and accessible to a wider audience. What are your thoughts on this kind of service model? I would appreciate any and all feedback as I try to assess the viability of this concept.

Thanks!

Just read your post and I wanted to make a comment. I mainly wanted to comment on your site from a programmers point of view. I like it and it is easily navagatable (I dont't think I spelled that right though!). There are many websites that get so complicated that they forget to go by the schematic. I hope that you would sell bulk candy too? I only have a few bubble gum machines and was looking for some bulk candy.

However, I also have an education in business and I imagine your model is like a Sam's club or Costco. Awarding discount prices and making the money up in membership dues. I look at it like this.. With the candy it is good, but how many machines can one person buy? When I go into Sam's club, I am actually limited to what I can buy because I can't afford to buy in bulk. I imagine you would want repeat customers in selling your machines plus the customer has to pay membership dues. I would hope the customer would still come out cheaper buying through you. On the other hand you will have a many to one relationship and you would definitly gain. I could buy a machine and then discount candy so all in all I think it might work out. Great idea! Just get some Beaver bubble gum machines and some bulk candy and you will have me as a customer.

Thanks for the feedback rnew! Customers can buy as many machines as they want, and in the future I would be offering different kinds of vending machines in different sizes as well. I will look into offering bulk candy, and if you don't mind it would be very helpful to know what you pay for your current bulk candy supply so that I can find a way to make it competetive price-wise.

Orsd: I'm located in berkeley, CA
