Growliebusters
Unbelievable!! The first time I hear about jackpotting was two weeks ago. Now I have a machine that emptied the coin mech today and still showed a 43.00 credit. That's according to the employee hat called me. I think the credit was more likely 4.30. Anyway, ironic that I just read about it and it happens. I'm quite thankful this was an honest employee, he gave me back all the money. I asked him to unplug the machine which prolly re-set it as it worked fine while I was there.
AZVendor
What model of machine is this? Check the light in this machine, neighboring machines and in the ceiling for burned out or almost burned out lamps. Flickering or restarting florescent lamps can cause stray electromagnetic interference to logic boards causing them to do odd things like jackpotting. Replace any burned out or close to burned out lamps or remove them completely to avoid this problem.

allen watson
I just had an old AP 500 with an updated control board jackpot. Same thing, customer saved all the coins and called me. No bulb in machine. She said the bill val made a funny noise and stuck the bill so she hit the coin return and all the quarters came out. I replaced the bill val with a mag30. The board is a Masterwork Electronics VC-MP rev. 1.03 24 volts with a 9300L coinco coin mech. I have 2 different prices set in the machine - 1.00 and .60. Feral Vending Mechanic
157s aren't known for that kind of behavior, even from a faulty light. I'd look very, very closely at the coin mech. Wait, is it the first generation of 157s, that are very nearly 147s? The 147 series is the one that I've seen this type of behavior on most. ( of National snack machines. )

AZVendor
High output lamps (HO) are the most expensive to buy and you won't even find them in the US for $3.50. You paid an appropriate price for yours. Are you sure you bought HO lamps? If they have a single pin at each end of the lamp then they aren't HO.
