garys vending
So I was in a fast food chicken spot picking up dinner and seen they had a little donation thing for animals for a mini bar of candy. So I started taking to the guy about my candy machines and to give the owner my card to see if he would let me put one in there. The guy pointed out that there was one already there. I had to look around the corner for it and it was a u-turn with really old candy and was filthy. The cashier said it seemed to be in a bad place and the candy looks old. My question is should I even bother to try and replace this guy since he had poor placement and no upkeep at all or this a sign of a bad location to begin with? sherlock
Try it but learn from the previous vendor....don't use the same kind of candy he has in his u-turn. If it didn't sell in his machine chances are it won't sell in yours. Try something different in yours and see how it goes.
rodney69
I had a similar thing happen a few years back. Come to find out that they redid the floors, forgot the machine in the closet, then someone puked it out several months later and short after that I came in. It was in the spot out was because of how bad it looked, also the guy passed away that owned it. Needless to say, don't let the looks fool you! Worst case you try it and doesn't sell! Definitely put toys in there with candy.
garys vending
Yeah I was thinking toys I just know what else to put in cause the u-turn has pm&ms mikes gumballs and skittles. Maybe a sticker machine instead
rodney69
If they'll let you, put a small rack with gumballs, a .50 toy and a 3 column on top

sbishop
I had a can soda machine at a Bank of america. Every time I went to service it I saw a 3 head machine that always looked the same 2 heads were empty and the 3rd had old melted candy. One day I went to service the can machine and the 3 head machine was gone. So I grabbed a vendstar 3k that I had and put it in the same spot. It turned out to be a great spot I did $60 to $80 per month. You never know
