Location Setup

I will soon receive my first location for a double head and am very excited.  I looked around the forum and couldn't find any info on setup.  I was wondering how do some you setup your machines on location for double and triple heads.  Do you carry the machine into the location already setup with candy in them and do you use a cart to carry them into the locations, or do you assemble the heads and add the candy once inside the location and carry the pieces by hand?

When dropping of a machine at a location I always carry it in complete and full of product ready to go.

I carry mine in ready unless I have a rack. If you can't carry the whole thing, bring it in empty and then fill it when you get inside where it goes.

Congrats on your first location!  Even after three years, I still get excited to get a new location.

 

Regardless what size or configuration of the machine, I always install it ready to roll.  Once inside, I'll readjust displays if needed or wipe the machines down, just complete finishing touches.  Usually for a smaller machine though, you want to get in and out before they can find a reason why they don't need it or ask too many questions about the charity.

I usually bring mine in assembled but I don't put the candy until I bring the machine in. I like to let the location see me popping open fresh new bags of candy.

I usually have the head unscrewed from the stand filled with candy because I don't want to lay it down in my car, it won't fit otherwise then I bring in the stand and go back outside and screw the head on already filled and then do a test bend just in case

Thaks for your input.  I think it is a little too heavy for me fully assembled, so I think I will try unscrewing the heads and carry them in seperately.

For doubles and triples, I just use a two wheel dolly and cart it into the place fully assembled and usually full of product.
