SilverFire
Hello people of TVF, After researching different vending machines for a while, I found some machines by LYPC to be of interest. I know from reading some previous posts that companies like Beaver, Oak and Northwest have much higher quality vending machines, but I didn't like the styles they sell as much. I am mostly interested in the LYPC triple pod vendor but I am aware of the rather easy to break coin mechanism and candy/gumball wheels. After hearing that "1800 coin mechs" fit the machine, I googled it and didn't come up with anything except for 1800vending.com which apparently only sells snack and soda machines. Would someone have a link to a seller of these "1800" parts that would fit the LYPC triple head coin mechanisms? Does Oak or Beaver sell coin mechs and candy/gumball wheels that will fit it as well? Thanks in advance! Silver

SilverFire
Sorry, I forgot to mention that I have no idea what "1800s" are lol. I think I heard they make good vending machines but I don't know where to buy them.

sherlock
I know from reading some previous posts that companies like Beaver, Oak and Northwest have much higher quality vending machines, but I didn't like the styles they sell as much. What do you like about LYPC machines that you can't find on machines by those mfr's who "have much higher quality"? LYPC isn't breaking any new ground with the style of their equipment. LYPC machines are cheap copies of machines made by companies like Beaver, Oak, and NW. Style-wise, there's little difference. But to answer your question...go to Craigslist. Craigslist usually has plenty of these knock-offs for sale. Some are route-ready. Some are not. However, if it's parts you are interested in, even the ones that are not route-ready may be worth buying. Either way, they can be had for a low price most of the time. Makes Cents
I can actually see the attraction to the triple pod. Its an attractive machine as was the 1 800... BUT... - Whats going to happen in a year or two when you need parts and LYPC has stopped producing this.- This machine is not dependable and will likely break down costing you sales and maybe a location- It cost more inventory to fill than a double FINALLY... As a bulk vendor your in business to sell candy. Other than the machine being dependable, clean and in good order, your customers dont really care what your machine looks like, they're looking at the selections. Read thru the LYPC thread in the equipment review section. Pay close attention to West Coast Vend and the last pages of that thread its very insightful. SilverFire
Thanks for the advice! And you guys are right, I'll just stick with a NW machine so it lasts me a whole lot longer. And I'll go check out Craigslist as well. It didn't cross my mind to look there at all.
