Hi all, I've just discovered this forum and spent all night poring over various topics.

I am in the process of purchasing a run in Australia of pool tables and jukes and looking at a soda/snack run too.

Thanks in advance for all the info.

Welcome to the forum - you'll find that we already have at least two members from Down Under, Reel and Falls plus Kiwi across the ditch.  I think there are at least a couple more from Austrailia.  When Reel and Kiwi start going at it, it always a riot but not very informative  ;D  ;D  ;D

Hi Brendio, welcome to the best vending forum around. I am also from Australia, are you west or east.

I'm in the east. I took over one existing business on Monday and a small vending run (some full line, some bulk) last week. My rumpus room is chokers with stock and the shed full of spare parts.

It's been a full on couple of weeks, but hoping that once things are set up and I am in the swing of things I'll be able to do it all a day or two a week.

Sure, here's a quick update:

After my initial purchase of a run of snack and drink machines, I saw an advertisement for a larger run covering my town plus towns about 120 km away. The seller was prepared to split the run. At the beginning of the year I bought the local machines, and I have now gone in with family members and bought most of the other machines from this guy at the beginning of the month. I now have about 50 sited machines and 20 in my shed.

The amusement business is ticking along. I have learned how to re-cover the felt on pool tables, and added a skill tester to one of my sites, which has done really well, and I have had another site ask for some different machines so I am looking to put one in there. Still trying to decide between plush (for which I already have a machine) or a football crane. I am also in the process of reviewing suppliers for plush and deciding whether to venture from generic into licensed toys.

I have lost a jukebox from a site (part of a chain, who are trialling a national supplier) and lost a few sites for vending machines. Two of them were such slow sites that product went out of date, so I wasn't too worried, but one of the sites was one from the newly acquired run and from the sellers figures had done pretty well.
