TacomaVending
I have an AP 111 that is giving me fits. The machine will accept all change denominations ($1 coins, quarters, nickles, and dimes) but when it gives change back it only pays out in nickles and dimes. I never get quarters back. I thought maybe it was the coin mech but after replacing it with a known good one it still has the same problem. What do I do to diagnose the problem and what could be the fix? Thanks, Kenneth
AZVendor
There is a Tube Fill program feature that you need to use so the machine knows that your coin tubes are full. From that point on the normal change pay algorithm will attempt to evenly pay change so no tube gets much lower than the others. This will ocaissionally then give only dimes or nickles as it tries to keep the tubes even. If you never use the Tube Fill program then, depending on your prices and change requirements, you can end up in the situation you have now. Prior to doing this, turn your machine off, pull the mech and dump all the change out of the tubes. You don't have to keep the coins separate. Reinstall the mech and power on the machine. Press your service mode button then activate the sub-programming by pressing on your select panel 10, 10. Then access Tube Fill by pressing buttons 1, 2, 5. This will give you a display of N for the nickel tube. At this time you can begin dropping your loose coins into the top of the coin mech and you will see the display is counting up the total value of your coins. When all coins are in the tubes you can add any needed coins to fill the tubes. At this point you can press the door switch or close the door and make a couple of vends to see if the change payout works better now. You may need to monitor the coin tubes and use 10, 10, 1, 2, 5 down the road if your tubes need continual manual filling. Otherwise this issue will come up again. rmorris1953
This code 133 will allow you to turn off the feature. It is found on page 9 of manual CODE 133 Allows the user to turn tube leveling on or off. Once the code is entered, the display will show “TUBE_L Y/N”with the cursor at “Y” (tube leveling: the coin tube that has the highest height in coins is paid out out first) or “N” (normal change payout:change will be paid out with the least number of coins). Press button “10” to alternate between the choices. Pressing the “K” button will lock in the information and return the user to the Service Mode. (Note: This code will not work with executive mechs.) allen watson
I was having the same issue. I also get an occassional "GE BLOCKED" error. What is that all about?
AZVendor
GE BLOCKED is a Golden Eye vend sensor issue. You might have dirty sensors or a sensor that is out of alignment. If you don't have Golden Eye on your machine then you need to disable it in the programming to avoid errors like that.
