moondog
I have an older Royal G111 660 that is showing sold out for all selections. I unplugged it and plugged it back in as well as checking the chain. I also unplugged the coin mech and BV with no luck. The display justs reads sold out but I can check the prices on each selection so I know it's not a display problem. Currently getting no errors. Any thoughts? AngryChris
If it says sold-out even after restarting the machine, I would imagine that we can eliminate a few things... the coin mech and bill acceptor probably work fine as they would probably give a completely different error. The board might be okay. I wonder if your motor harness somehow came disconnected? If it is chain-driven, it should only show sold-out on any selections when the machine actually tries those selections... seeing that it does it to all selections tells me that either your motor is broken (I doubt it... I don't see how the machine would know) or the harness is disconnected.... or the board is bad. Did you try all of the plugs? That's weird that you get no errors. Everything should have cleared up upon the restart.
AZVendor
If the sold out message appears after the chain has rotated a few times then check the chain for missing magnets or damaged or missing rabbits on it. Test for this condition by pulling the chain into the middle of a column and then pressing the door switch. If the chain rotates several times before then showing sold out or out of order, then you have a bad chain or a bad home sensor. If the message appears as soon as you power up the machine then it could be a bad door switch or bad logic board. Inspect wires at door switch and check for 5 VDC at the two wires. If you don't have 5 VDC across the two wires then check for that voltage at the logic board pin out for the switch. If 5 VDC is not present then you have a bad board. If the door switch is fine then you might have the timer control enabled or you have lost all space-to-sales programming. Check those two items and correct them if needed. If you lost the STS data then you could have a bad board or bad battery on the board. Let me know if you need any of these parts.
moondog
We resolved this problem last week (me and my repair tech - my money, his brains) Turns out it was a loose allen screw in one of the sprockets on the right side that was allowing the chain to wander and hang up before making the complete cycle. It was a first for the tech. I got off cheap as I was expecting a new board or motor replacement.
Feral Vending Mechanic
I was just going to recommend tightening the Allen screw holding the sprocket to the motor. Loc-tite or a drop of super glue will keep it from coming loose again.

AZVendor
VE doesn't, well actually no one does, make an aftermarket board for the GIII Royal or any other soda machine for that matter.
chris in bc
Yeah, the question was in regards to the second board for the AP 6000. I know nobody makes an aftermarket board for the G3, it is too bad Royal doesn't make the Rvccr 804,660 anymore! Merry Christmas Randy!

chris in bc
Royal still makes the 12 column, 12 selection RVCCR 804-13 and RVCCR 660-13?
AZVendor
Royal still builds the Merlin 4 and the G3 machines in their standard sizes including the 804 and 660. There really hasn't been anything newer from them other than a G3 Plus.

AngryChris
13= 13 select What's wrong with sts Maybe it's just nice to have more than 9 or 10 selections. I'd rather have a Royal with over 10 selections than a CB-700. Those things have major door-hinge issues.. and a few other issues that make them difficult to work on and maintain.
