I have a system on my house that can see pretty well but my barn out front was just broken into and I can't see that far out. If you can get wifi to the barn you could get some dropcams. Dropcam.com They range from $150-$199 (cheap compared to a security system) & you get as many or as few as you need. You can login & check it from anywhere by computer or phone & they offer cloud recording. Many retailers carry them. I had a boss that used them for security in his stores. He would often check them to make sure people weren't slacking off at work. If he saw some one standing around he'd call that store & reprimand them in real time.
