bayouvending
I was wondering if these beavers can be upgraded? I do not have any beavers currently. Can the mechs be upgraded by changing parts or do I have to buy whole new mechs? Thanks guys
Pete Schweddy
The .25 cent mechs can't be upgraded but the .50 mechs can be upgraded with a kit to either .75 or $1.00. New .50 cent mechs are between $32-$38 a piece if I can remember right.
bayouvending
Thanks a lot! Do you happen to know how much the conversion kits are? I would normally call beaver and ask but they are closed. I'm looking at buying a few hundred heads and I'm trying to figure out the parts before I offer. Nick505
If you are paying 38 dollars to upgrade a .25 ce t mech to .50 cents and then you need to buy a lock, gumball wheel, or new globe you might as well buy a brand new a&a machine with a .50 mech. It will probably be cheaper. Also round beavers are difficult for 1" capsules because they don't hold as much product and you can't fit a live display. bayouvending
Yeah but I usually run five ways. On the one inch I would only upgrade one mech. I run a gumball a 25 cent toy and a fifty cent toy. Their supposed to have locks with them I can run until I end up rekeying my whole route. Just trying to weigh the options I can get them pretty cheap and flip some to finance upgrades.
GagesVending
You'll need to buy new mechs...HOWEVER, those 2" Northern Beavers have 50 cent mechs...change the gear on back to Round Beaver (using the 25 cent mechs on bottom of rack and just buy one 50 cent mech and three 2" mechs depending on if you're going with 75 or $1.
