Inexpensive starting machines?

I am considering purchasing an affordable candy vending machine to put in a store. I am looking to spend less than $230 for a good one (new), prefferably double or triple headed (One being gumballs). Any suggestions would be appreciated. Below are a couple of links for ones with good reviews from amazon, I would appreciate feedback if you know how reliable these are. I am a college student that does not have a lot of money to spend, and wants to make some money on the side. I would like a machine that should have as little problems as possible with little upkeep. I am also skeptical of purchasing used machines from ebay or craigslist because I have not experience fixing these machines. Thanks!

A Northwestern Super 60 double can be had for around $180. (two heads, stand & double plate) I did a cost anayslis comparing different sources & that's the best I could come up with.

2 NW S60s @ $75 ea. = $150 (Cardinal)

1 Cast iron retro pipestand @ $29.99 (East Coast Vending.. you can probably find  cheaper stand I just used this because it's my prefference.)

1 Black Bouble Bar @ 8.35 (East Coast Vending)

Total before shipping = $184.33

Maybe the experienced guys know where to get better prices, but from what I've read here I'd stick with quality equipment & it's well withing your range.

All the amazon and online machines are trash imports

Go to oak mfg, eagle emc, northwestern, aa global, or beaver machine and call and order direct from mfg

Those brands are way better in terms of quality and parts availability

Cost about 60 a pop plus shipping exept for nortwestern and beaver, a bit higher

Stands can be had from quill.com

Can you still order northwestern from sams? If you have a membership it would save shipping

Yep.. Sam's was considered in my analysis. I don't recall the cost but I have everything on a spreadsheet at home. You're right though, even if it's a little more it might actually be cheaper once you figure in shipping.

Sam's doesn't figure in shipping, but it's super cheap. It's like 6.00 for shipping for at least one state away for the closest Sam's.

I know that Eagle isn't quite the quality that Northwestern is, buuuuut, you can get a Eagle 300 or small one for 37 per head, so 74 for the machines, then 37 for the pipe stand, so you in to it for less than anything I've seen.

You can add .50 coin mech for 6.00, chrome lid for 3 if you feel the need to.

I have double head Beaver Gumball/Candy on beaver chrome stand (the best in the business) for sale for $125.00 + actual shipping.

P.S. With Beaver you can vend Gumballs, Bouncyballs and 1" Capsule toys without changing wheels.
