Walta
SlugFest A14463 Bat Frame Repair A14463 Bat Frame is no longer available so it seem repair is the only option. On my unit the pivot pin was badly worn. This pin is peened to the base plate. (See photo A ) 1 Grind off the peen (See photoB) 2 Drive out the worn pin. 3 Drill out the hole to 17/64 4 Tap the hole 5/16 - 18 5 Install levers arms and coil. 6 Install shoulder bolt where the pin was. 7 Shim as needed with washer at the top of the pin. (See photo C) 8 Install lock nut on the bottom of the shoulder bolt. (See photo D) 9 Install assembly in machine. Parts required 1 Shoulder bolt 3/8 Shoulder X 1 Shoulder Length 1” x 5/15”-18 from Fastenal part # 1126331 $1.41 1 Nut 5/16 -18 from Fastenal part # 2133858 $3.00 3 Flat washer 25/64 x 5/16 x 16 gage Williams part # 4700-00051-00 Marco Specialties $0.32 Lucky for me Marco Specialties still had the arm and links in stock. The only disadvantage to this repair I can see, is the assembly will need to be removed from the playfield to free the shoulder bolt. I post this so Google searches will find it. radman
I'll be taking a 'swing' at this fix in the near future . I picked up the parts (Fastenal gave me the shoulder bolt for free and my local hardware store had the other parts - so, $1.12 invested except I'll need to get a 5/16-18 tap). Again, thanks for posting the fix (and the update info about how it has held up on location)! Conrad.
