TexasFreemason
I placed a 1800 in a hardware store last Friday. Today I went in to buy something and the manager told me to take the machine out. He said the Peanut M&Ms were so old that somebody spit them out in the floor. I know that is not true, because I bought the candy from Sam's less than 2 weeks ago. I tried a vend after I took it out and they tasted fine. Luckily, the store next door let me put it in and I didn't even have to take it home.
antoniocinisi
if you wanted to keep the location you should have tasted the product in front of him in my opinion
TexasFreemason
I probably should have, but I don't think it would help. He also said customers griped about only getting 1 gumball for a quarter.
Rick Falcon
The best lesson that you can learn from all this is that their is no need for using locators you got kicked out of a location and placed the machine right next door, great job. You are exactly right. I have never used a locator. The only machines in my route that I didn't place myself are the ones I bought on location when I started. Anytime I lose a location I try to place it on the way home.

musser
Another way of looking at it, the guy did you a favor. Better off losing it quick than to endure months of whining and service calls.
F J Vending
I'm glad I'm not in Texas. I sell gumballs for 50 cents. I know the subject comes up from time to time about gumball only routes. If I could sell Gumballs for .50 there would be no question, I would only be doing gumballs.
