Review of Greenwick MM to MBD converters

I have had two of these and experienced nothing but problems with them.  This week I removed the last one from service that I had in an old AP 6600.  Within a one year period it has ruined two coin mechs and 3 bill validators.  It must be something with the power supply that is causing them to fail.  I took the converter out and returned the machine to its original settings.

An expensive lesson to learn.  Don't try these at home!

Has anyone tried the other Greenwick boards.  I've only considered them for really old equipment that I can't do anything else with like an old AP 4000.  They are the only maker of a board upgrade for that machine that I know of.

The Greenwick main boards work well, it's just their MDB converter kits that don't play nice with micro mech machines.  I've not seen one of the kits take out coin mechs and validators so you must have a bad kit.  The problems I've experienced with them is very slow payouts as the payout signal from the machine is translated through the kit to the MDB coin mech.
