mgirtman78
Hello everyone, I have been doing bulk vending for a few months now. I appreciate all of the information from this forum. It has helped a lot! When I started in January, I bought an existing route that had 5 machines located. I waited until I finished the first quarter before I made changes. That being said, I want to move 2 of the machines. Out of the machines that are doing well, 1 is in a Thai restaurant, 1 is in a pizza restaurant (this one is my best seller), and one is in a tire shop. However, the machines that aren't doing well are in a medical rehab center, and a hotel lobby. I am wanting to move these, but I wanted to get the feedback of some experts what you think the best locations are. I was surprised that dining establishments seem to be doing so well. As far as product, I have a mix of various gumballs, skittles, reeses, m&ms, and jawbreakers. I have a handful of other machines that I want to place, but again I wanted to get some location advice first. Thank you in advance!!
sweetstop
As far as hotel lobbies i have never done well but in the employee break rooms they do pretty good, asked to move it there
rodney69
Every location can be bad or good. The most traffic doesn't always mean the best spot. What duo you consider a good location? That's more important I think. I like restaurants, but more competitive. I like break rooms because they last. May not be as much cash in one month, but duration is better. SherlockHolmes
It sounds crazy but you never really know until you try it. Your "safe bets" though are definitely going to be high traffic location where there is food involved in some way.
F J Vending
I have always gone with the rule to get unplaced machines out before relocating poor performing machines. The only exception is, if you have a spoilage issue you can't control then I just pull the machine. As far as the best locations go I agree with Rodney, any location can be good or bad. I've had a small office of 10 employees do very well and a location that has tons of foot traffic do poorly.
