Having a hard time selling it locally, it's my last piece of vending equipment.. Was wondering if any one of you TVFers would be willing to pay for shipping on it if I asked for 450$ and throw in about Aprox 40lbs of 2inch capsules LOL

I wouldn't take it for free

So glad I never invested in these. They were booming for awhile, but fizzled out like most of "it" machines. They always looked really goofy to me.

I agree they don't look professional or commercial grade. They have a cheap look about them and goofy look.

Yea, the novelty is over - just like with spirals.

Tomy units are nice if you need to fit a lot of 2" capsule "bang" into a really tight space, but beyond that there's not much they can do that other machines can't do the same or better. The most I'd spend on a Gacha now would be $100, and it'd have to be in really nice shape. As Jax said, once the novelty is gone, the demand for the machines both from locations and from operators is tremendously diminished.

The down fall of gacha in the U.S. Was the cost of product close to 40%. And the crap mech. In Asia, Europe and Mexico they are very popular. And still being produced to this day. The American market could not bare that product cost. So they closed up here. The money is in the refills. That being said they still make money. We have some that we bought 15 years ago Total we have around 60 left. Tomy was in bed with the management companies so if you wanted the contracts you had to buy them.

Tomys take to long to service, easy to jam the coin mechs and are about ss secure as an unlocked station wagon full of Christmas gifts in a ghetto strip mall

Now there's something you don't hear everyday. Great analogy Musser!
