Uturn to the down turn

As long as they exist on this planet we will continue to have questions about them.  It's just part of the forum.

Not if we truly search and read!! LOL! This machine has more about how to repair or fix than any other machine from what I've seen. I have some, but only as they are replaced.

Now it looks like they're selling them on Amazon? Not sure yet though.

It's funny to me that the experience that I've had with them and been blatant about them, that people don't read it. Oh well! Always good for a laugh!

I think they got someone in my area, Ive seen a couple pop up in my locations.

Big 8 head terminator with all 8 canisters filled to the brim, must be well over $100 in candy including cashews all at .25

this in a small hair dresser school that is mediocre at best for my triple.

Give it 9 months! All of it will be bad and they'll be kicked out! Or if they're smart they'll figure it out in 2-3 months and move it. It sucks seeing all of the people getting taken advantage of.

I see some at my stops. I always wondered how they could even find 8 products to use. They end up putting expensive things like trail mix and cashews in them. The 4 way machines don't seem bad, but the 8 way just don't make any sense  to me.

I've never heard of anyone who's had a great experience with U-Turn equipment. The best stories I ever heard were when someone would inherit a U-Turn or two and they'd make a little money before they had to have all their parts replaced- which really says something about the machines. I'm still of the mindset that there's a place in the industry for every machine, but why oh why would you get a U-Turn when you can get a used Vendesign for a fraction of the price that will work, in my opinion at least, far better? If you've gotta have 4 canisters on one carousel, at least get the one that won't fall apart.

So Vendesign work pretty good? The few I've seen it looks like, if they've been around very long, their globes get that dingy look to them that won't wash off? But maybe there's something you can do about that.

Start your business with single head gum machines made by oak, northwestern or A&A, why? They will be the easiest to place and merchandise and the easiest to sell if you decide in the future you don't like bulk vending. If you find that gum does not sell at a location the machines mentioned above are easily converted to candy or toys.

I know that there are lots of people that will disagree with this but routes of single head gum machines have made the most millionaires in this business

I've been vending for three years now. I have thirty U-Turnd and ten NW Super 60's.

I just don't know what's up with all of you U-Turn haters. I really do love the U-Turns. I've had a lot of success with them.

Have all of you owned U-Turns or are you all just going by what you hear?

If anyone has any U-Turns that you don't want, give them to me.

Have a great day!

I've had Uturn's on route for over 13 years. The problem is they don't hold up. Doors break, Coin mechs don't hold up, and are cheated the most in restaurants. I have a location that does 120-220 a month, every service I replace a coin much and min 2 doors.

I have a rack in a restaurant that does about the same amount of turns on the mech's in a tougher location, and not one problem 12 months since it was put in.

Big difference.

There's nothing quite like going to service and realizing that the new mechs that were bought weeks before are already hopelessly jammed. The money you have to pump into a U-Turn to keep it alive and operational is grossly out of proportion with the amount of money it can make, especially considering that more conventional equipment can sell the same volume in the same spot without needing 45 minutes of cleanup and repairs, and $75 worth of fresh parts. Keep in mind, a NEW Oak Vista is $50-ish with shipping. A NEW NW 60 is $70-ish with shipping. In an industry where literally every cent counts for something, the idea of maintaining a U-Turn fleet is, in a word, crazy. I am glad they've worked out well for you sir, as you are definitely the exception to the rule.
