.25 flat for mystery?

I'm thinking about setting up one of my accounts as a dump for left over dead selections or the ends of different lines. Does it make sense to run one of 3 columns as a mystery mix? The other 2 as quality leaders? Or does that work?

 

Should I use one of my high volume locations to do it? Trying to figure that and same with 2". Although I like what I've heard about just adding 2" foam balls from Cardinal. Then your not losing on the potential profit.

 

What are your thoughts?

Keep mystery flat at .50 first, if it doesn't sell fast enough drop to .25. AA has a nice 4 sided display so you can make it look fresh every so often by displaying new side every once in a while. Flatline has a nice display for 2" junk. It's call Super Toys. You can run that stuff in every location fast and slow ones.

When I cleaned out my flat stuff, I put in the display card for the leaders, and mixed it all together. It was mostly Angry Birds, so it was easy enough with that. In my experience, if you put the word "MIX" at the bottom, and run it at 25 cents, it'll clean itself out in short order.

 

Flatline has some absolutely killer 2" and 1" display cards. They get new ones every few months, which is great because then you can rotate the cards around to keep any junk mixes fresh.

I've done exactly as you propose. I have one column at one location where all my flat junk goes and liquidate it at 25 cents. I do the same thing with capsule toys. I have a couple of heads on my route where I sell slow movers for 25 cents.
