winning123
A newbie here, trying to unlock my u turn for my first collection and the key wont turn or cause the locking mechanism to turn. I was to the point where the key was slightly bent but i was able to bend it back into shape. I am considering spraying cooking oil in the cylinder and lube the key with petroleum jelly. Any Ideas will help.
PerformaVending
You'll want to WD-40 it or graphite it. I've done the former, but heard good things about the latter. U-Turn locks are notoriously unreliable I'm afraid, so whatever works you'll want to add to your service kit for the long haul. Good luck!
rodney69
Just use Windex. Spray a small amount in it, then run the key up and down a couple times. You might have tightened it to far when you closed it last time. Only run out down till it just starts to touch, then back off a half turn. If that doesn't work, you'll have to be more aggressive. OU8SUMCANDY
I had the same issue, including bending the key a little, and then realized I didn't have the key in the last 1/16"! I was probably in too big a hurry. I felt stupid, but figured I would share just in case that's your problem.
