Candyguy
Hi guys, I recently acquired my first dual oak vending machine and had a few questions. Pictures of the machine are below. I was given these 4 clips, where do they go on the machines? The picture of them is below. I was also wondering what kind of wheel is on the machine. In other words, what can I dispense out of this? I'm going to start off vending with gumballs, toys, and bouncyballs exclusively.
titandist
the clips are for holding the glass in. Clips fit onto the glass and top ring of the machine. Looks like you have capsule wheels and risers. you can dispense 850 ct gum and super balls with those, if you want to vend toys take the riser out of the machine, that is the part under the wheel. Candyguy
Am I supposed to have 4 clips per machine? I assume you are referring to bouncyballs when you mention I can send superballs? If so what size bouncy balls? Sent from my XT1058 using Tapatalk

titandist
Yes they come with 4 clips per machine, unless you bought them used. Most of the time they are not even used, some people use them so the glass don't pull up when servicing the machines. I haven't used them in years. Bravo Duck
The reason to put the clips on is if you're ever dumping product out of the head without the clips then the panels will fall out also.

Candyguy
I've decided I'm going to to do skittles in one of these and gumballs in the other to start. Do I need to change the wheel or riser in order to vend skittles?
PerformaVending
I've decided I'm going to to do skittles in one of these and gumballs in the other to start. Do I need to change the wheel or riser in order to vend skittles? You'll need a candy wheel set, and a brush housing to vend candy. You'll need to get one for the Oak Vista machines or the PO-89 machines. You can probably grab some from the guys here on the forum for a good deal. However, now I'm a little confused. For Skittles and other small size press candy, a "standard" candy wheel will be what you want. If you try and run Skittles in a Super Deep your portion control is going to be a nightmare- if you can control it at all.
Candyguy
Ok that makes sense. Do I remove the riser as well when I change over to the new wheel and brush housing?
musser
The super deep wheel is a left over from the days of cheap candy. I have thrown away hundreds of them, they are useless today.

You don't use risers with candy wheels at all. They won't fit into the assembly- you'll see when you get them. They only convert round product wheels to 1.1" caps, and aren't user anywhere else.
