Bdvend
I was wondering if anyone utilized cheaper candy and sold it for a quarter. You can get many candies, laffy taffy, nerds, mini candy bars or even dum-dums for around $.05. Charity vending has this on their website. I have one location that has 2 boxes(one at each cash register) and I am going to experiment with this. Any thoughts?
rodney69
Well, Sounds like your cog's on it would be 25%, at that it would be more cost effective to buy York patties at less than 20% cog and make more.
Bdvend
Yes but it still beats bulk ratios by a long shot. I am a newbie but mint boxes sell much better than bulk in my experience.
Harvending
I am using some bite size candy and find the loss to be 50% or more. Kids see candy and don't have quarters . The good locations don't want a box of candy on the counter. Use product for adults.
bbeckl
Just my humble opinion, I think the York has a higher perceived value. Maybe it's the shiny wrapper. Like Rodney mentioned, the Yorks are actually pretty cheap, around .06 each, and they are more appealing to adults who have money. Try a few spots with them, especially restaurants, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at the results.
Avi
Hi, Can anyone tell me why people prefer mint over other candy? It is a big mistery to me. Thanks!
