Candyguy
Hi guys For those of you who run gum, are there any real advantages between running 1080ct gum versus 850ct? Also, can you vend both with the same wheel with a oak vista or round beaver machine?
Hillbilly
Yes, vending 1080 will make $57.50 more per box. Same wheel with an Oak.
Candyguy
Being that these are very close in size, I've thought about mixing 850ct and 1080ct for a trial. Has anyone done this and noticed any difference in sales?
Hillbilly
I have and also used 1430ct. Customers didn't notice at all. I will continue to run 1080 and 1430. When I can get it.

Does Sams carry assorted double bubble 1080ct or is A&A global the place to get it? I was looking on the site and I believe there was a 1080ct fruit stand mix. rodney69
Sams has it online, I don't think they carry it in store. AA, Ford, and all manufacturers have it except I think 1430 is just Ford? Not sure on that one.
Hillbilly
I've bought 1430 from A&A in the past.
PerformaVending
I've always wanted to give 1080 a spin myself, but I've never gotten around to doing it when 850 is so plentiful.
rodney69
I use 1080 in some of my equipment, it didn't draw any attention. Sold just as good. The problem is, I have to pay shipping for that. So for about another year I'll be buying 850 from my supplier locally. I get the Ford 850 standard for 25.00. It works good. Would prefer the 1080 though. shanipaqman
The biggest advantage to 1430 or 1080 is that you can get much more quantity into the same size canister so you can go longer in between service periods, which is worth the extra couple bucks for shipping. There is so much mark up on the gumballs, cost is not a factor when we are talking a few dollars in my opinion. I prefer to have my product delivered to my door because my time is worth more than chasing down which sams club is carrying the gumballs for $22/box. But, again, capacity is huge in my mind if I don't have to service it as often and collect a lot more money when I go out.

Seems many places don't carry it. A&A doesn't have any

Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk Not sure what's going on here, but tj King doesn't have the 1430 either. They said they may be phasing out the 1430? Anyone else have info on this? Candyguy
Call the main office for Fordgum.com I've only ever used concord. Is Ford Gum a better product or better seller than dubble bubble?
rodney69
it doesn't get as hard as fast. I've been using the 850 for about 2 years. I have a local store that brings it in for me.
shanipaqman
TJ King has 1430 count Oakleaf on page one under Oakleaf Gumballs, and then 1080 count Oakleaf listed under page 2 of their gumballs. I tried to paste a link here, but the forum dialogue box isn't letting me do that. I have been using them and find that they last longer and are softer than double bubble 850 count from Sams. Also, you have less to travel with when servicing as your box holds a lot more, less to store in the house as well. I have a friend that says, why pay for air in the box? Lol. Candyguy
If a round beaver is setup for 850ct gum, do I have to change the wheel in it to vend 1080ct? I see I would with 1430 ct, but wasn't sure about 1080ct?
rodney69
Not on oak. Not sure about the others.
Candyguy
I was told by oak that if I use the same 850ct wheel to vend 1080ct, every 4th vend will dispense 2 gumballs?

Candyguy
I haven't heard that with a riser in it Yeah I was surprised myself from what people had said here about not changing the wheel. She said to properly vend the 1080ct I would need a rocket wheel.

Use the riser and it won't. Rocket wheel is for 1430 and 1900ct.
